the new scoob cant hold a light to the new focus IMHO.
europe leads car design on both interior and exterior and of late, efficient engine production.
I think Jap cars have had there day, which funnily enough peaked to soon.
its all about getting in a car and driving it now, convienience, reliability, comfort, safety and i have to say, Ford are getting this all back in spadefulls.
wrc aside for a second, i'd go europe over jap right now !

Not very good news is it
However, I suspect that in a couple of years they'll return for the following reasons. Once the current financial crisis rights itself (which it will do) Subaru will recognise that once again they can start selling cars. They already know one of the reasons why the Impreza had such a huge following was due to its rallying prowess. The biggest and quickest way to advertise their product to a worldwide market will be via WRC.
They will also have to change the design of the Impreza as they must know there is no interest in it's current guise. When was the last time you saw a new shape Impreza on the road? And how many have you seen since its release? No more then a handful I bet?
Anyone remember how Ford pulled out of all motorsport back in the late 80's (except for BTCC) saying they didn't want to spend such a large amount? They returned, albeit after a decade, with the Focus and a massive budget.
