Can you afford the insurance? If yes, keep it and enjoy it. Its only £10 a day and there are plenty of folk who'd drink that or snort it up their nose before lunch!

If not sell and buy a bike!

Your premium is more than the car is worth !

Have you thought about a "modern classic"?

I have a mark 1 Lotus Elan SE turbo.

Its only a 1.6 and has been chipped up to a mere 190 bhp but it goes like dung off a digging implement. (sub 5 secs for 0 to 60)

Handles well in standard form (its a Lotus after all) and the dodgy electrics from Vauxhall are simple to fix.

Even the non turbo versions are quick as the car is made of fibreglass and they are really cheap to insure.

Its a convertible so the girls like it.

As a sad old g** my insurance on it is £350 a year fully comp

Otherwise look at an MX5 import (even the jap sports auto) as its a great and reliable rear wheel drive sports car.

or a Peugeot 205 1.9 gti in original spec

or better still get a classic 1275 gt mini and get your hands dirty.

it may only be £10 a day but i only use it at the weekends so im paying £50/week just for it to sit on my drive. like ive already said, i can afford it, i just dont want to any more so i have decided to definately sell it, even tho im only getting it back from the garage today (going in 5 minutes)
cheers

Rev Chris - Suggest you speak to someone knowledgeable about insurance policy i.e. MoleyWRX as your suggestion, as I understood it, which has been edited, could land you or someone else in a lot of hot water!
