I'll bet these would fit, and not be too expensive.

If you weren't such a fashion victim you wouldn't be having these problems.

Right, time for a little update as i've been rather coy about what i've been doing.

I now have the movit kit fitted to my car, and yes, I did use spacers, 15mm I believe. Now, it's still early days, as I only got them fitted on Sat morning (hence the late turn up at Bolney) but indications seem that the spacers have not effected the handling, I went for a little drive yesterday and the car handles as well as it did before the fitting, maybe it's mental, but it actually seems to have improved handling a bit.

One good thing is that the new calipers are a very light compared to the very, very heavy 2-pot calipers, put it this way I'm a confirmed wimp, and it took two hands to lift the 2-pot caliper, whereas i could lift the movit caliper in one hand, so hopefully that will ease the load on the suspention, plus the discs are about the same weight if only slightly heavier than the old ones.

All in all I'm very impressed, which is what I was hoping for.

Just bedding in the things, and am doing this very carefully as I don't want to trash them. As it stands they feel a lot better than the old 2-pots.

If you're still interested (and awake ) you can find pics here

Big thanks to Geoff for fitting them and putting up with me hassling him, plus big thanks to Richard, for selling them to me and also putting up with a constant stream of emails asking all sorts of questions.

Thumbs up

Congrats Markus, looks good.
On Saturday I'm going to Guido and have my rears fitted.
On April 6, I and my mate Ric will drive on track and Guido will take some pics for the website after we've abused our brakes!

Enjoy

Mike,
thanks for all your comments and advice both on and off BBS about the movits.

Look forward to seeing the pics.

Pity there is no rear brake kit for us older impreza owners (sliding caliper on rear). maybe if/when I get a new car I'll be able to have an all round movit kit, now that would be nice.

For anyone who is interested, here's My Movit Story which explains why I went with the movits, the problems encountered, the solutions, and the finished result.

I think so. I'm sure you can get the 4m5 kit with a 304 x 32mm disk. best best is to ask them
