I bought the 3" downpipe and one of these adaptors to mate to a 2.5" system (wanted a full 3" downpipe as I may upsize to full 3" system in the future). However, not sure what the adpator does as there is no taper on the short section of pipe. Cant see any real difference from fixing direct to the 2.5" centre section if the short length of pipe on the adaptor slots inside the 2.5" pipe (which it seems to do).
Would have expected a tapered length of pipe that slotted inside the 3" pipe. The only other one I can see on the web appears a similar design (its difficult to tell from some of the pictures)
I have probably missed something, but grateful for any ideas before I fit.

Hi Simon.
I was about to send off for the same adaptor myself. Am I correct in assuming that you are saying, that the 3" downpipe will bolt directly onto the 2.5" centre pipe, using the supplied 3" gasket, without the need of the adaptor?
Or does someone out there know different.
Kind regards.
Yes, appears that it will fit direct onto the centre section and probably better without the adaptor as the end of the centre pipe has a slight taper so marginally less abrupt. May depend on your centre pipe - mine is a Scoobyworld 2.5" with silencer.

Will do a blind run first and get back to you.

This will bolt up together but you will have a slight step in the exhaust
Ok might be interested in one of these got an MOT coming up soon, just to confirm this bolts straight to the center pipe and it replaces the standard dp and catpipe?

Hi there,
Have there been any issues with passing the mot test with these, as had a powerflow sports cat and it didnt pass just with that?
Regards
Jimmy
No problems you just need to make sure they are warm when they go into the MOT like any other CAT really As it is stainless pipe it is often worth wrapping the pipe to keep the heat in and stop it escaping and the CAT cooling

I see you sell the wrap, can you do the stainless steel ties too?
Also would i wrap just the pipe before and after the cat or go around the cat too?
