This is England was filmed in Nottingham.I remember the lad with gumbo coming on radio one to talk about it.
To get the lad to come to a audition the director had to buy him a gameboy LOL

yeh he got spotted at school, the director said how can I get you to audition . That's when he said game boy think he got a bike out of it too.
I think he said what if it made you rich "he said I'll buy a new bike and give the rest to my mum " haha
Yeh he's a good actor for his first film
