Probably sending it to ABW's in Essex next Week, can't really think of anyone local around who would be as good as them. They'll put a quote in to the insurance and we'll have to wait and see, in his estimation if the repair is more than 60% of the value then they will write it off.

Bummer. You had track insurance yeah?

Do you know what the policy is on write-offs with your insurer? i.e. agreed price or market value? If not, get researching some expensive examples to have ready as proof. A mate wrote his Elise off (paid £18.5k for it 3months previously) and they offered him £13.5k on first phone call. He then argued and they ended up paying him £19.5k so don't settle for the first offer from them!

Still, on the positive a new car will be a nice Xmas present!
