Because the hard drive is faster (and quieter) than a dvd, so the games will load quicker

Well I did mine. Can't help but think the Avatars are a waste of time (I can only suppose MS are bringing out 'party' games to use them in!?!). However the load times and new features do seem better.

Have to say i dont like the new update very much. Mainly cos of the Mii character. Seems kinda stupid to me.
If i wanted a character for my console i would have bought a Wii.

Nevermind tho, games still work in the same way thats the main thing

Erm no, you didnt actually read the article then?, marketplace is having a few lag issues due to the update download demand. Let's see Sony issue an update of this magnitude that installs at peak time in less than 5minutes
