i think the potential for xbox live chat abuse will be taken to a new level with the entry of this POS !

updated the dashboard, liking all off it. As it turns out didnt have anything to worry about, one quick look at both and i won't be going back to use the old panes

When creating your avatar keep rotating him round and round until he gets dizzy Pressing the stick also makes him burp.....

 

as in pressing the centre button and using the mini tabs. Like many on here said they didnt like the new look and would use the mini panes.

 

Its a bit Wii aint it, not sure if i like it, but all progress I suppose :-)

lol yeah me and a big party of mates were laughing at those earlier

anyone changed their theme? i changed mine to night, and its cool the background changes, and when u go to see ur friends in the dashboard they all have different little scenes behind them

only annoying thing is if ur in a game and u invite ur friend by pressing X on the friends list, it only invites them to your "Xbox" party....rather than the actual game ur physically playing, and sometimes u catch urself out and put urself into an xbox party while playing, and then wonder why everyone playing the game cant hear you! Lol very weird. Good update tho it looks fresh

Went to work this morning, came home & now my Xbox has turned into a f**king Wii what the hell ???

My Marketplace refuses to open now too.

 

I think there may be a patch on the way

occasionally my dash hangs when moving between blades, and looking at the avatars

or it may be down to the volume of traffic hitting the xbox servers to get the upgrade

Ok, I went for it. Took a max of 5 minutes and looks good but to be honest I think they've made things a little more difficult to find. Probably it'll grow on me as I get used to it though.

The best bit is putting your games on the hard drive, I've done it with Call of Duty and the Xbox runs sooo quiet now - fantastic!

could not get the dead space content bits up when i was testing it earlier on

also had some other errors with stuff not available.

gears 2 matchmaking was fast!
installed gears 2 to the hard disc as a test, but it seams no faster upon loading, to be honest, its not even that much quieter as my new elite hardly made any noise anyway!

 

so could you buy a game and download it to your console then take the game back

Things are running very slowly. I was trying to download the patch to play DivX movies and it timed out quite a few times before finally getting there (it was only 4mb which should take (literally) 3 seconds).

No, you still need the disc in the drive to play the game, M$ aren't that daft..

 

why is the need to put it on the hard drive then
