I'll get **** for this but:

5th out of 700 - 10k trail run:

Surfing pic - you need to be quite fit to surf well:

And I challenge anyone to do these - Chinese press ups. I do 10 as part of my 2/3 times a week home routine. Sorry about the trousers!

Start with hands in a "diamond" on the floor about 8-10 inches from your knees. Stick your head in it. Feet up against a wall. This gets you in the right position.

Push legs up into "start" position:

Push up into a press up and repeat:

Do I qualify?!

Mt Mrs did weight Watchers for months between Oct. last year and June this year. Lost nearly 3 st. that she was un happy with. Admittedly she wanted to gain another 1/2 stone as she felt her upper was too thin. Now settled at around 10.5 st. And she looks lorverly

I lost 3lb by not caring what the ********* on here think of me

(and walking more)

I am 2 stones heavier than what I would like to be. I will be ok even by losing one stone. And, my work is physical enough, my gym for fitness continues. But, my food selection does not help my ambition to lose weight. I have No alcohol and not many chocolates at all, but I should just cut the bread out FFS! But I don't. I like it So, I may just stay 10 stone for rest of my life now.

Anyway, I have gone past caring now. Life is too short for worying about trivial things. I accept to be 10 stone, not 8; like when I was 16

Was in the British Army for 11yrs, was an Endurance trainer which was an introductory thing brought in to prepare troops for the 8mile Combat Fitness Test with 50lbs of weight on their back.

I also spent my first 5 years doing nothing but boxing. Thats me on the right.

Good enough for ya

Ex's sister is amazing. I have seen her going from size 18 to size 10, and back to square one for about 6 times in last 18 years! As soon as you leave the plan, you hit the food plate, and you resume your original form.

LOL I know that weight can be maintained with a bit of discipline, but many people like my ex's sis find it difficult to do so.

I'm not saying really heavy but surely training to fatigue at reps 8 to 10 is what most should be aiming for?

i found the most important way to remove weight was to cut out fizzy pop, and drink water instead.

even without exercising i found i lost quite a bit of weight over a couple of months just by cutting out the pop.

I don't drink fizzy pop. We don't buy fizzy drinks. We eat plenty of bread, though. I think that's what's keeping me stout I can increase fibre in food to let it pop out before its fully digested. But then again, I already eat enough greens. TBH, I am happy with what I am. There is fat on the body, but not exactly hanging ridiculously. That will do.

PS: I have to admit that my water intake is not good enough. I should drink more water. Minimum 6 pints a day, they say.

Turbo - there was a study saying that you actually only need 2 litres of water and that a lot of that is already contained in food.
I used to drink stacks of it but didn't really find any difference when I dropped the amount (just got sick of needing the loo all the time and of forcing it down).

Good diet tip - get a veg box delivered. It often works out cheaper than supermarket stuff, it's much better for you and the variety means you have to adapt to what you get - which makes it more interesting.
We get a weekly box and it's the basis of all our food now. Means the odd curry or pizza is a treat rather than a health risk too.

Pete - what regiment? My sister's bf boxed in the Army for many years too. Got pretty good. He was a sniper for ages.

I kickboxed for 6 years - really enjoyed it and was briefly ranked 4th in the UK for my weight (middleweight). Possibly could have kept your right hand guard higher in the fighting pic

I lost 2 stone this year on my "motocross diet". It works as I am competitive, and the lighter I am, the better.

Don't drink during the week. I've relaxed this a bit
60 Sit ups and 60 press ups twice a week
Don't eat so much
Cycle for an hour twice a week
Race bike on Sunday

Now the season has finished and the darkness has set in, I'm not riding much, and not getting out on the bike so I'm worried I might put some back on.

Getting back in the saddle is the best thing I've ever done. I stopped for 11 years. If you want to do it, don't put it off.

This bike is now for sale....getting a new bestie tomorrow

Understood, but since she's stopped going, she has put on 1/2 stone, which she agreed to anyway. She now doesn't eat all the crap I do and makes fresh meals most nights for herself. She is lucky in the sense she enjoys a massive array of foods, where as I am one of those saddo "funny eaters"

Plus she knows if she got to the weight she was before, she would not like her physical presense, and neither would I. I asked her once if it bothers her that her 24 year old other half (me) is nearly bald. she replied no for 2 reasons... when I have stubble it scratches her itches and when it's smooth blad she likes to kiss it
