Great stuff. I didn't think that the meet time might be job dependant for some.
Do we meet at the stadium or at Newport? And what time.
I'm not really fussed so somebody state their preference and that'll do for me.

Sounds good Chris, ok lets meet just off that roundabout by the side of land rover, the road that goes between that place and the factory called 'anker' which when you look at the sign the first thing you thing is hmmmmm well you know
Say 2pm to leave at 2.15pm as long as everyones there.
If Mr Bluebyou would like to detail the route in full or just the first half to Bozeat and i'll finish it off then we have the route sorted.
Everyone meet up at the Needle & Awl pub in Rushden, we'll look a the cars and compare ....... spoiler sizes have a drink and then go home i guess sound good?

Ok the proposed route for Sunday:
Meet at Landrover dealer outside Newport Pagnell on A509 at 2.00pm.
Leave at 2.30 or sooner if all present.
Drive into NP through Tickford Street to the High Street.
Turn right at roundabout onto B526 towards Lathbury.
Carry on until past Gayhurst. Take care up the hill other side of Gayhurst as you need to turn right on the brow of the hill to Weston Underwood.
Stay on this road through W/U straight into Olney.
This will bring you out on Olney High Street beside Souls Subaru dealer.
Turn left onto A509 and continue towards Bozeat.
Down Bozeat bypass (a509) and turn right at roundabout into Bozeat and then onto back roads passing Santa Pod and take up Jonny's route to the Needle and Awl.
It's not a race, but in case anybody gets left behind I would suggest we stop in Olney, maybe in the market square, and re-group.
If you're all ok with this can we have (another) list of names so we know when we can leave from NP.
1) Blue by You (Steve)

Sounds like a great plan. But, can I meet you all in Olney Market Square or meet you at the roundabout at the top of the hill coming out of Western Underwood - here
Btw, as you come out of western Underwood, the road becomes a de-restricted and there is a small hump in the road which is rather fun at speed Not that I speed

All sounds good to me!
To carry on the route a little..........
When you come to the Bozeat roundabout on the A509 turn right then at the pub a few hundred yards up turn left just infront of it.
Take the next left which is dead opposite the spar minimarket thingy. Go up the hill and take the first right at the top of the hill it's signed Poddington.
Go to the end of that road and take a left then just follow the road though poddington and other villages eventually you'll come into Wymington then Rushden.
When you come to the bottom of the steep hill turn right and carry on driving untill you come to a roundabout.
Take the 1st exit onto the new bypass.
Go straight over the first 3 roundabouts you come to then at the 4th take the second exit onto the A45.
At the next roundabout take the first exit and the pub is on your right you'll see it

If WE all stay together in convoy (a-la McRae Convoy) then splitting up should not be a problem and no-one will be left behind. And besides aren't we driving at sensible speeds not 100mph.
N.B. just remembered about the McRae gathering from Prodrive to test track

I'll be driving at sensible speeds through the towns and villages. On the twisty roads between them i will definitely not be throwing it into the bends and blasting it round the corners driving it like it's supposed to be driven because that would be very naughty

Like I said:

I don't see many names on the list!
Jonny the pub I think you're referring to in Bozeat is the Red Lion. There is a turning 2nd on the left (Allens Hill) when you come off the roundabout that short cuts the route past the pub and avoids going right into the village.

Blue, nice one , would be better to bypass actually going into Bozeat!
Chris, good call, everyone knows the route, everyone should drive at a speed they are comfortable with. Like Blue said, it's not a race just a meet at a pub with a drive inbetween, hoe people drive is upto them and it's their responsibility to drive safely
So who wants a race?

Hi Guys,
it was good to meet again today, shame about the rain. (Did it rain then?)
Let's hope we can keep the local meets going through the winter and into next year.
See you soon, and if not before, have a great Christmas.
Steve.

It was another great meet. One question: Where was everyone else that put there names down They must be made of sugar.
Lets see if we can do some more meets through the winter. I thought about doing a bowling meet - in the warm out of the rain, showing off to see who can get a perfect strike etc... Not sure where there is a bowling alley though, anyone?
