Been on to the Tan Hill (again!) chasing the menu options, which I was promised over the weekend. Chap said he would send them within the hour (at 9am today) and still heard nothing as of now. TBH the guy seemed much less interested than he did when I last spoke to him, and went as far as to suggest we pay up front for everything, just in case we 'didn't turn up'

Despite my assurances that we would, and that at worst we'd be just a few people light (There's always someone drops out at the last minute) he seemed most insistent that we might not actually show our faces.

I'm not prepared to stump up something like £500 from my own pocket (Especially after the 'whip round' for Corradoboy's Blyton 'thank you' gifts netted me a massive £7 and left me somewhat light... nice community spirit folks), and it's a bit late to start asking everyone for deposits.

Anyone know of any other places that might be willing to take us at short notice?

Pubs in that Local area..... Not sure about the quality of any of these...
But knowing our luck when choosing a pub (anyone remember that pub coming back from the last trip!!) it'll not be pretty.

So expectations will be low... so we can only be impressed.

Bigarf, imf and I can vouch for the Farmers Arms !

A happy (?) four hours spent last run out !

dunx

P.S. Sticks you may need to bully money out of us to "secure" a venue, for the expected turnout ?
