Good lad: you NEVER release a car until you can be SURE of the legitimacy of the payment i.e. the money is available in your bank account!

All too common for people to get forged bankers drafts/notes etc... from someone who seemed genuine, but just couldn't accompany them to the bank etc.. By the time you realise their payment isn't worth the paper its printed on they're long gone with your car.

E-payment via chaps is best, anything else and its a trip to the bank!

No ifs, not buts.

I think the problem is that I couldn't tell a moody scottish note from a real one, where as english ones are no problem, just not used to seeing scottish ones is all
