I think there are a lot of people jumping on a bandwagon here: apparently the offending show received only two complaints in the day after it aired, so arguably the people who heard it weren't offended, but when word of mouth got out; those who dislike Brand (and I think he is hugely over-rated) and Rossy (who's show I enjoy, but who is, on occassion a bit rude and crass for this own good) suddenly pounce. It's the "I haven't seen it, but am appalled on someone else's behalf brigade"
Ultimately Friday night is a very popular show and there is no way the BBC will sack him. The suspension is lip service to the PC brigade.
Brand is another matter. He's not especially highly thought of as a comedian, nor a presenter and nothing he fronts attracts amazing figures nor critical acclaim, so he may be sacrificed by the BBC.
It won't matter a jot for his career which is largely predicated around infamy and sleaze.
Waste of everyone's time and effort

Ross is ok, but only just. The way he "interviewed" Ramsay the other night was just bloody annoying - LET THE MAN SPEAK. And the juvenile larking about with the truffles just left me cringing. But enough people tune in to keep him in business, obviously.

Oh yeah i meant the public in general too but there is also an agenda on SNET about what people can post and what opinions they can have.

The character of the girl concerned is neither here nor there. I would not know anyway since we have not been introduced! God forbid!
The real point is that those two double died pratts decided to make oafs of themselves and leave those obscene and offensive messages on Andrew Sach's phone and also did it in public on the radio. Sachs just does not deserve that kind of treatment especially since he is not responsible for his granddaughter's behaviour anyway. What they did was puerile and well beyond the grounds of public decency. Those who can't see that should put themselves in Sach's place and consider how they would like to find messages on their answerphone which were not only disgraceful but were also done in full public hearing on the radio!
I also consider Ross to be a waste of space as an entertainer, he is incapable of doing a show now without offensive or obscene remarks which all goes to show how poor his abilities are and how rubbishy his material is. he has a mouth like a sewer which is always the last resort of a poor entertainer and Brand is also going in the same direction. Pity really since he does possess some wit at least.
I hope they remain suspended and at least save us some of our licence money which is completely wasted on these two losers.

At the end of the day, dealing with people like Brand is very simple, and requires bugger all effort. If you find him offensive, don't watch. If enough people find him offensive and do the same, figures will plummet and he will be condemned to TV obscurity! All this kind of action does is make the BBC look hippocritical and promotes the careers individuals who thrive on this kind of controversy.

BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Brand and Ross suspended by BBC
A f**king joke if you ask me.
Yes they did wrong and were out of order but Ross has since appologized.
Why people and the media are baying for blood is beyond me.
There are worse things on the news at the moment.

BTW the fact that the granddaughter has saucy pics floating around the net is irrelevant, and I'd like to distance myself from comments about her character.
I will, however, say

I do not know the girl or anything about her but I have seen some pics of her and if I had to choose one of the two categories 1) hard done by innocent young lady, or 2) dirty, filthy fukk pig I know which I would choose (hint: it isnt number 1)

I cannot help but think leaving an abusive message on a 78 year old mans answer phone mentioning that 1 of you bent his granddaughter over the couch and gave her a good seeing too is a bit sick. Then going on to say things about breaking into his house etc is also a bit sick. For two grown men to find that acceptable behavior is odd and in most jobs doing such a thing in work time would guarantee the sack. Anything less from the bbc is a cop out.
