On the positive side 7 cars is better than none at all. And I thank them for their support.
We will be picking up at least 7 more cars from Colchester & Ipswich on the way. And there will be about 40 waiting for us at Norwich.
Pictures from last year.

I have taken the Friday off & as I have already spent several days getting props & other stuff sorted out for myself & the car I will be going whatever. As I am sure the others will.
Teaser for this year.

Mine is a bit of a cobbled together home made jobby. It's been fun getting it together though. Scared the life out of Jess a couple of times.

Aopoligies guys , Wont make this either
This one one of my most looked forward to events as well , But i dunno cannot seem to get the enthusiasim for it anymore
, Hopefully a break from the events from me for a bit may help , But im doubting wether it will ever return
Have fun anyway guys & fly the ESC Flag with pride even if it is with 7 cars & not the " Southern hordes "

We shall tear up (metaphoricaly speaking of course) the streets of Norwich on your behalf. And will be thinking of you when tucking in to the carvery.

CHILDREN IN NEED CONVOY TO NORWICH
FRIDAY NOVEMBER 14TH
(Early Evening)
(Early Evening)
For the sixth year running, the ESC will be helping Scoobycity in supporting the BBC's Children In Need appeal, with their now-famous, and magazine featured Charity Convoy through Norwich City Centre.
If you've never been on this before, you've missed out on one of the most satisfying, enjoyable and worthwhile events of the year.........where else would you get a convoy of dozens of Scoobs, creating havoc by taking over the city centre roads, making a complete spectacle of themselves, whilst raising money and doing it all with the support of the Norfolk Constabulary?
Last year, we raised several thousand pounds, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves into the bargain. A £5 per car donation can be made on the night please & would be greatfully received.
Sponsor forms are available from the BBC Children In Need website
Once again, this year we will have the full support of the Norfolk Constabulary (thanks to Dirty Harry .44), to lead the convoy, and to block off the junctions, roundabouts etc so we can enjoy uninterrupted progress through the city.
This year will be an optional fancy dress affair!!!
After the convoy there will be a gathering for a drink & some food at The Village Inn, Little Melton, just out of Norwich before we head back.
They have set aside their function room for us which seats 100 & their carvery will be running @ £3.50 a head

Sorry guys, can't make this, car is still mis-firing and running like a bag of ****
OMG!!! Ben and I just tried on our costumes, Ben's looks great but mine is a little tight and very revealing.
Shouldn't be much of a problem Tom, I am picking Ben up from school and heading straight to Boreham, last year we were there by 4 and tucked into a Maccy D's before heading off at 5.

Flippin 'eck, what a manic day!
Just leaving to go and get Ben, then straight to Maccy D's at Boreham. Then we need to find a phone box to get changed in.
See you all at the BP.

What a great night, only been back an hour or so. Stayed in Norwich last night and had a wander round the city this morning before we headed home.
I will be doing an article for the newsletter so wont put too much on here, just wanted to say, it is a long way to Norwich and it was worth it.
A big thanks to Mark and the Devils Ride who organises this for the ESC, and to Batman and Robin for making it a night to remember. Ben....I have looked online and there is no proof that Robin was gay
A very big thanks to the organisers at Scoobycity and to the police for their cooperation
If only we could get the Essex and Met police to help us out for the tunnel run in the same way.

What a cracking night yet again. It was a quality turn out & there were some outstanding costumes.
The "Evil Dead" type zombie was very scary as was the Shark with the legs hanging out of it's mouth. Banana man was a riot. Danny was looking very suave in his tux. Not sure if he was Bond or a waiter!
Superwoman was wearing an even tighter costume than Batman. Who with Robin was ready to defend the citizens of Norwich City from evil. I think keeping your keys in your pants was a stroke of brilliance. Who needs a utility belt when you have Y-fronts?
The convoy lived up to expectation with a slickly run route through the city centre & on to the park up near the Forum. Well done to all the police officers & Specials for their invaluable help at all the junctions & traffic lights.
You lot are amazing
I'll get some pics up soon.

Ben and I had a great time, watching people do a double take as we went past in fancy dress was brilliant, and the crowds also seemed to enjoy my flame displays (glass shop fronts are great for watching your own displays
)
Even had a member of the Norfolk constabulary ask for a few flames when we got to the Village Inn.
Didn't take many pics, and didn't get any of you Mark.
Here are the ones that I did take......

Cant wait till next year.
