Well im bored so heres whats been happening this week, updates sponsered by Monster energy after finishing work at 7am

My alloy arms are at CDF, something kinda funky will come of that im sure. 3 port catch can from Clive on order, CDF ALK on order also. Group buy on tow hooks started so i think they will look trick, maybe in orange?

my xmas pressie arrived...for the golf. be a while before these go on mind. got 20% off too, how could i resist! its also developed a knock due to VW's fantastic bushes giving way, suspect is wishbone as the ARB + Droplinks look fine

Engine strippage. once im confident iv got all the tools il be building it back up a few times for practice a dry run so to speak

everything kept in order of course

Now i arnt really sure where this idea came from but it seemed pretty good at the time, quick release front bumper, and its kinda worked out.

and wrightys list only 2 'big' jobs left, ones the clutch which i already have, others paint. would love to paint it ford focus rs green but royal silver lovely and you dont see many that colour, like this.

^ Once thats done its fmic and map for the golf and saving for a stronger gearbox, EJ22 or EJ257 + Forgedness

This month il mostly be saving up / fixing the golf. diesel power feels a tad flat and the comedy popo noise is getting worse sod it, if it breaks it breaks. Just done 300 miles to 1/2 a tank - ultimate diesel is deffo worth the extra pennies! Few nice upgrades coming soon for that.

Anyway, slowby, nowt much to report. Got some DEI wrap (eventually) to do my downpipe. A new catchcan from clive and a sunstrip in anticipation of a cage. Splitter needs modding for the aerocatches and i want it carbon skinning, sod painting it. Hopefully another month or so's wages behind me it can go to the paintshop and to my mate ben for the clutch + flywheel fitting (he builds evo's and has 2 ramps) so beats doing it on the floor.

I hate project threads full of talk, so heres some pics.

Thats it for now

sunstrip doesnt mean il compete, thats like saying all the WRC'd up cars on here actually rally, when theyre actually used for the weekly shop in cities. its just a sunstrip and i didnt want one that said SUBARU, SPARCO or RICHBROOK so i got a TA one.

well for now iv just blanked off the return, i need to do some homework on heads and see what i can do with my current https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...592-heads.html and well i quite like the look of a return to passenger side head as opposed to sump but havnt decided anything! if i need to swap heads so be it, if not il be buying some snazzy bits for mine in anticipation of forgedness. but for now the catch can can stay blanked.

Loads in the pipeline for this car yet just got to decide a route to go down, no point selling it as il never get my money back and i doubt il ever go any faster then what i have planned so its probably staying for a while yet, may even consider a reshell to coupe when it breaks but will see, youl know when i know got a realistic price on a build i want from enginetuner so once its running on this engine il be saving up, because lets face it, il probably break it within a week

think there is a reason for not connecting to the heads...can't remember what it is though!!

You've seen what the 18g did to my crank case...but that was 18months in so hopefully yours will last until your 2.1 is ready to go
