The black bit you have left dangling is the airbag link and the indicator cancelling system.

lol, true, hows about fluffy?!

when I swapped my wheel for an MY03 I swapped the air bag connector (black ring), but my airbag light stays on. I've read a few different ways of making the light go out but I've never got any to work...could be I messed up though, I'll have another crack at it at some point but have a couple of other buts that need finishing first. You could always remove the bulb form your dash.

There is a boss kit that allows you to keep the black unit on the columns when an airbag system is used. I think you have maybe taken the cancelling unit off when you didnt need to.

well i know someone is gonna shout at me buttt....the zage 18g will be coming off in favour of a Lateral Performance MD304 from mr Mad Hammer - cheers clive.

yes i am mad but the characteristics of this turbo were what i was after originally when looking for a HS380, i think this will make the car a ton more responsive and safely run the power i want on this block/gearbox.

Ps the black thing from behind the steering wheel no longer exists time to hord some whiteline bits now! started stripping the alloy arms and bust 2 bolts so they need drilling out but its far too cold to be handling cold metal atm! man i hope i get my xmas bonus this year or else i arnt gonna be able to live this month haha

few things have landed. MD304 from clive is tiny compared to the 18g, but hopefully its not all about size, and all about spool instead! cdf front d/links and pitch mount came too. should have an oil feed coming and with 2 weeks off hopefully some more progress!

Don't worry about the size mate, it will do exactly the job you want and make very good power

MD304 bolted up, PITA with a silicone inlet

CDF pitchstop

A while ago you may remember this big alloy tube

Well the past 2 days its been transformed. what do you do if you have a classic, a fmic, and want a CAI kit....you make your own. Excuse crappy pics it is minus 5ish round here atm

Take one mahoosive filter

Mock up where you want it

Cut Said length of alloy tube

Cut a big hole in your wing

Measure and cut some random angles of more tube

and a bit more, numbering so you know which goes where

ready for welding up, it will be in 2 halves + a silicone joiner due to it been impossible to fit through the wing in one.

then i filled some carrier bags with some of the white stuff we having been having tons of, and put them in your boot. this freezes the glue on sound deadening and makes the job lots easier, wants cleaning up now with meths.

jacked car up, front discs swapped from earlier schoolboy error and begin suspension swap...only a teaser more to come

ohlins vs BC

hopefully lots more to come very soon

Hell of a lot of work for a cold air feed.
Wouldnt you have been better to just have the filter located near the drivers turret. Looks to be plenty of room there. You'll get plenty of cold air there from the holes in the inner wing. Also the location of your filter with the pipework will be vulnerable to water ingress and sh*tting up fairly quickly.

I can see you having problems with that i'm sorry to say.

nice progress Jon

Bit of advice, don't sell the Ohlins, I've driven a car with those struts and they are lovely...you may end up swapping back from the coilovers
