This is an awesome build mate, just starting a project scooby of my own. Just wondering what you used to smooth off your strut towers? if its body filler won't it crack under stress? It looks a lot nicer than without the smoothing, just curious. Also, what kind of paint did you use on your inlet manifold, I want the crinkle effect on mine and yours looks pretty top quality.

for the strut tops I've seam welded them then filled in the gaps and used flexible plastidip paint so if any small crack do appear they wont be noticeable under the plastidip

plastidip is the paint you can peel off is it? looks really well man, when you hoping to have finished it? What brand are your boost pipes and water hoses? Samco are doing some pretty sweet colours atm, pretty dear though.

what you could do is use upol b fiber paste instead of filler, that will be a lot more resistant to cracking and means standard paint can be used over it

not a bad idea. ill get my engine out first, then seam weld and see how it looks. Im unsure what route im gunna go down with the car yet, if i go down the show car route it can be smooted out with filler cos it wont crack... but wheres the fun in that!

What kind of adhesive did you use to lay down suade on the dash? Also, where the seams are, like around the glovebox and compartments, do they still close? I presume the gaps will be tighter because of the extra thickness of the suade. cheers.

Right guys, I did a search on here and Google and haven't really found much out, I'm wanting to fit a race tech dash 2 > http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorc...road-dashboard

looking at the wiring diagram its a simple splice into the loom job to fit can anyone confirm this? Also my car is 95 which means it has the mechanical speed pickup for the current clock, how hard is it to convert to an electric pick up? is it just a case of taking out the mech one and fitting an elec then just wiring it in to the dash 2?

Hi there as I said on your thread at General Technical speak to Andy@Race Technology for best price for Dash2

Speed sensor,I would use Sensor which you can buy from race Technology which cost around £35( http://www.race-technology.com/conte...?pcat=2&cat=61 ),oil temperature cost £35 and oil pressure cost around £90 and all depends on which one you want use sensor(EGT and Fuel pressure,Wideband).

But for sure I would speak with TimH,I'm sure he will help you with sensors and other bits
