Yeah shes got a booest guage the jerking normally starts just when shes coming onto boost but like I said earlier in the thread sunday night she was running fine but monday morning it was jerking again, as for the colour of the maf I think its green can tell you at the moment cuz the cars in the garage trying to sort the problem, as for oil etc she just have a full service 35 miles ago all levels are fine.

so you have not changed your maf, if not i would,

ebay is your only friend for that sort of maf,
subaru impreza maf sensor airflow on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 12-Oct-08 15:23:37 BST)

regarding the oil, sometimes when people fill them the dip stick has 3 marks on it, empty, full, and then theres a hole just above the full mark which people fill to, and some times you get fuel cut becuase the oil veber gets into the boost solinade and you get the feeling of fuel cut,

when my maf was playing up, i could go down the A1 (when it had roundabouts) and from one to the other it would not miss a beat,80mph with -4 on gauge. come to slow down for the round about and drive to the next one, it would be all over the place, 80mph with .2 on gauge, just was up and down, and could not put my finger on it, thought it could be something with spark plugs, but they got changed about 3months ago, i changed the coil pack, still nothing, then changed the MAF, reset ecu and went for a drive,

(Still smiling now) well i was till the maf went bang 3months after getting it stalled, and left me 40 miles from home, and no way i was driving without it pluged it in, but scoobyclinic sent me a new one out,

there is only one really test but it does not prove much lol

start car, and left bonnet up and pull out the connector to the maf, engine should cut out,

saying that when mine was faulty, did the same test, and it cut out, dont really prove much,

Do you have any mates near buy you with same colour maf?, as you could ask to borrow theres and reset your ecu and take it for a spin,.

what do most garages know unless they got some serious testing gear how well a coil pack is working they prob just took it off yea thats ok put back on if it where me save garage costs just change the plugs and coil packs and i bet its fine wont be the dump valve causing any probs unless it leaking air out under high throttle or sucking air in under low throttle just my thoughts though
