Nic got me some kite buggying lessons for xmas @ the Essex Pawer Kite Association so as long as I have all my limbs still attached I may find myself hooked lol.

You will love it mate !!! If the lessons are at Barling, you will have a right blast as the lads there are so helpful and friendly, its like we've known them for ages!!!!

Well it was another great day @ the new playground today

After a bad start ...

I Arrive there @ 8:20am (Had to leave @ Midday , Mrs ESC's orders ) So gets there @ Dawns crack to find the gate chained & padlocked Big Mick Turns up , Col turns up , Then finally Spally @ 9:20am With us all sat outside the gate looking @ the flag flying So i now been sat here an hour ...

Thankfully Spally's noisy car ( Scoob) Awakes the ole girl in the farmhouse who in turn leans out the bedroom window in all her glory

The gates not really locked the chains just wrapped round the post So i sat @ an open gate for an hour ... Yes C.O.T.D. For me ..

Anyway text & explain the situation to Mrs Esc who grants me an extra hour due to the gate **** up !!

Anyway finally pull onto the field a wicked constant pure clean Easterly wind is blowing much as i can do to open the van door against it

Wind meters reading a steady 15-16mph Gusting to 22mph Im brave & dig out my 5M Blurr !!

Oh what a choice 4 Hours later ive clocked up a staggering 26.4 Miles with a top speed of just 31mph , 99% Of the 26 odd miles were all done @ well over 25mph down & UPWIND !!

A Truly amazing day for me , One massive OBE My fault but survived , The seat harness has made all the difference it's just so easy now thanks Frayz for making me stick with it

Paul & Sean were both there again today performing some great tricks in the clean winds on there 5.5m Blades I Had a go on Pauls 2.5m Blurr awesome high wind kite

Special mention to Big Mick who must get voted today best "Newcomer " Had a great day & is still there now ripping it up .

Col i feel was a little overpowered on there Bullet 4.5m & was feeling a little frustrated , Stu kindly set him up a nice 3 metre odd Vampire race kite & Col managed to get some valuable buggy time in , Spally only had a half day pass but is improving every time out

Im boat fishing tomorrow so cant get out with you guys ..

But i have 7 Metres of Blurr Hulkness arriving tomorrow so im hoping for some lighter winds as forecasted so i can get out later in this week

oh yes that 4.5m had me going sideways to much, the 3m got me back into the swing of it so didnt seem like a waste of day,arrrrr my arms are aching now lol. just so looking forward to the arrival of the 3.5m blurr thats when i ll next be out as its all ready on route

 

Mate you are in for such a surprise you will not believe how good these kites are in 12mph - 20mph wind , It will bring you on in leaps & bounds & you will find it easier to buggy as the kite actually stays in the air , Offers nice lift but not to much but loads of pulling grunt , Come back in a few days & say ..

" Tiny ... Yes you were correct "

 

A Nice seat harness will put pay to that I Dont even feel ive done a mile on mine today

Managed to drag myself away from the field about quarter past 3,i was having abit of trouble this morning with the wind,not really enough for my little 3m beemer.......

Had a quick blast on paul's 2.5 blurr and that was a nippy little thing....

Shame you had to leave tiny,as the wind picked up abit more after you left,as i was rippin it up bit time mate.....

 

Yeah mate had to shoot sharpish the texts from Mrs ESC Were getting more frequent

Towards the end much as i could do to hold onto the 5M But getting power slided sidewards upwind is a great feeling

Cannot wait to get out again !!

 

Sounds like a stonking day guys. Gutted there was no pass for me today so i had family stuff to attend to.

im waiting for my new kite b4 i go out again wich sld only be a few days
just brought a garmin etrex h gps used twice from ebay £50 all in so im all geared up now no more spanding

 

couple of cracking days lads. PMSL laughing on both before i had even started flying.

Day 1: turn up and get told "can you see that thing dangling down from the telephone wire" well that's Dazza's handles!!! ha ha

Day 2: i turn up and Tiny, Col & Mick are standing around by the gate. I get out the car and hear someone calling, look up to see the girl hanging out of her bedroom window, who then informs me: gate is unlocked, just pull the chain off!! ha ha ha

on top of that have some great runs in the buggy, once today i even got lifted out my buggy so only me feet catching the foot straps meant the buggy kept coming with me!!! ha ha

roll on next weekend, i'm at work this week

 

i might to have get one of those etrex thingies, my gps is very tempremental and only works when it fancies it!!!
