As part of project "Tinyphoon" and the on going revitalisation / overhaul of the buggy , this week i have been dealing with a guy of FF called Andy , posts as " MadAndy " Must say yet another top geezer

Just renewed all 8 ( yes 8 ) bearings in the phoon , with all singing & dancing Stainless steel rubber sealed lubricated bearings

Anyway when i receive great service i like to share the information with you guys , here is a link to Andy's site , if you need bearings check it out , it seems he has every buggy covered

I made a new setup tonight and managed to shorten the whole assembly from 170mm down to 105mm, bringing the whole lot closer to my body.

Sharpening the blades, waxing the board and general fine tuning

 

Just a quick update (Sorry for the cak picture)

Swapped out the big 110mm Wichard for a 70mm version along with a smaller D shackle and a shorter Petzl fixe roller.

From the edge of the harness D ring to the centre of the roller ive reduced the setup from 170mm to 105mm.

I now have a much better strop length and the whole setup is much neater.

Here they are side by side, looking forward to getting out this weekend

 

That looks 100 times better mate & as you say will bring it all closer to you & in turn make it easier to use

Think Shrimps is going to make the decision on Fri as to when we go , so will have to wait it out & then go from there , Really hope that it's not Sat as wanted to get over the park with the new buggy first on Sat to get used to this poxy narrow axle

didnt sleep last night and had a weird dream.

i was in a fiesta diesel, picking up Ross, but he wasnt in, anyway i waited with the engine running and nodded off. when i woke up i ran out of diesel, and got out and shook the car a bit to get it going, then drove to the southend RC model shop to get some diesel and a foot pump (both items of which they didnt have) !!!

WTF was that all about???

i mean... a diesel... ???

hahaaha, bet its anodised aircraft grade billet aluminium and drilled out for lightness on a multi-million pound cnc milling machine !!!
