Martyn,
I assume that's Terry's ? as it's the only one I'm aware of making over 500bhp.
If it is Terry's you're talking about, it is an "MD555", but not a standard bolt on.
There is some confusion, because the "MD555" is a generic pt.no, and covers numerous different spec's of turbo.
Mark.

Correct Duncan, taken from 22b.com
"Terry's turbo is not a turbo that you could actually fit in the standard position, despite having a subaru style exhaust housing. The compressor housing is the larger T04S housing found on the big GT30 and GT35R turbos, and that housing is what makes all the difference."

No, I was thinking of another one I know of.
Sorry Martyn and not wanting to throw cold water on it, but it just looks like hot air between the lines unless I can see graphs.
I do try to keep an eye out for any std mount turbo graphs that are doing well. We saw probably the biggest gathering of these in one place a couple of weeks ago at Zen for the 22B dyno day and I was the only Subaru over 500bhp with my MD321V (admittedly Shaun was v v close with his AET blown beast)

@ the MD321VVV.
It was not *just* a dyno figure, it was done to test some inlet mods made and also to see how the turbo would hold out and the engine respond to more boost. The results speak for themselves.
The boost at the moment is as it was for the Zen run (1.95bar peak and 1.7bar peak power), that is until it goes back to Tracktive next week. There is more than one way to skin a cat and it is not all about boost.... ignition plays a big part as well (and the balance between the two). When it is mapped again to finish it off, it will run what ever boost it needs to, to produce the figures I want and with the reliability required. No point going crazy just to show how much boost I can run.
These Subaru engines are not like Cossie engines, where 36psi boost is the norm! I'm not sure they would last too long!

AET are developing their range of GT30 bolt on hybrids. Testing that I have completed so far has been really good. I am just about to test another version, but have already acheived 530/550 on pump fuel on a 2.5 (Cossie Engine).
