my wife is a full blown arachnophobe and will be in full blown hysterics at the sight of even the smallest spider.
She's been crying her eyes out, screaming, climbing over furniture, jumping around absolutely utterly out of control until the spider is gone.
We went to the Maldives on our Honeymoon and the biggest feckin spider you have EVER seen was in our room one night. When I finally managed to beat it to death with the clothes pole (I kid you not) it fell off the wall and hit the ground with an audible thud.
We found out over breakfast that it was also poisonous and I should've called the staff out to deal with it....
I was surfing on here earlier this week and was scared out of my tiny mind when Lisa went to play a diploma piece on her piano and near trod on a 1" spider in her office. I found her trying to climb up herself on the piano stool - a sight which had me crying with laughter... I couldn't help myself - really. You had to be there!

One ran across my face the other night there, thought it was an itch then i caught its shadow from the TV's glare i did flap at it but not to kill. I like spiders but my mate hates them I have been known to chase him round with my hands clasped over nothing just to see him run.

I have a real fear of any sort of creepy crawly/ flying type creature. I've definately got worse over time, as I fear pretty much everything now.
I can't kill them as I'm too scared of them, unless I have no other choice. Can't leave them though, as I don't know where they'll pop up next.
Totally irrational fear, but I just can't beat it.

They live in my en-suite bath (rarely used - prefer showers).
I don't know how they get in there as I never see them anywhere else.
I guess the builders may have forgot to put in a U-bend, as its a bungalow and may have not enough fall on the pipe to fit one. I put bleach down there and keep the plug in, but they still get in there. I need to block off the overflow somehow.
Strange thing is, once in the bath, they never leave, so I've given up cleaning it out. At the moment its a bit like thunderdome, sometimes I get two or three of them at the same time. And they kill each other, last night I had three of them, this morning there is one small one still alive and two dead large ones. Who knows what I'll find tomorrow, maybe I should setup a webcam? Hmmm.

I have never had a problem with spiders. IMO they are not exactly cool or something, but I wouldn't lose the plot like my daughter does; after seeing one LOL. Lizards do my head in, though 
In India and Africa, I can't sleep in the same room as them! it's the thought of their slithery movement over my limbs (or, even on the wall!), that sinks my heart!
We hardly have any spiders TBH. Our cats get them
before these spiders start acting a bit too smart at our place.

I have no issue with the ones I know cannot kill. Red Backs will make you very crook, even kill you if you're unlucky, if bitten. It's the Sydney Funnel Web that gives me the *****, furtunately, haven't seen one, yet! Nasty, very deadly, and extremly aggressive spider.

Yes your right mate -also the cotton tail has nasty venom that desolves skin and tissue. The red back can apparently give a very nasty infection which may be difficult to treat and limb loss is a real possibility. WA is infested with them -they are everywhere .Why worry about spiders when there are sooooooooo many nasty snakes in Oz. I mean they are everywhere and are seriously dangerous. Most are highly venomous . Golf courses are alive with them , so dont bother going in the bush looking for lost ***** !

Obviously its getting colder so they are coming in.Also it is the males after sex(so ladies you might have a reason to worry )
I always remind my wife that they are probably far more scared of her which is why they are legging it.
Sure I read our lovely British spiders are incredibly poisonous.They just haven't got fangs strong enough to break your skin though

I can't even bear looking at pictures of them
Just one was waiting in the kitchen for me this morning, I pulled the blind up and it was hanging off the bottom grinning at me
It's still there about six feet away from my desk on the bottom of the blind. I'm waiting for Bob to get up and sort him out but he's on lates at the moment so it could be a while
Yesterday there was a spider on the blind too, it seems to be their new favourite place

I was walking down the stairs the other morning and stood on something big on the stairs when it was dark. I thought "who's left something on the stairs", when I turned round I saw a house spider about 2 inches long wandering around. Couldn't believe it didn't mind me standing on it (am 13.5 stone too).
Good job I'm not scared of em, mind you I have to kill countless of them because my mrs is scared to death of them all.
