That spin must have really put his nose out of joint.
That nose must have it's own weather system!

The entire front section of the BMW is designed around his nose. That's why it's so quick on these high-speed aerodynamic-important circuits.

Last time I was at the Monza F1 race was way back in 1986. Mansell came second after leading till close to the end when his "seatbelt came undone". Or maybe winner Piquet had looked after his tyres a bit better! They were both in the Williams FW11 whose 1.5 litre V6 turbo produced 800bhp in the race and well over 1000bhp in qualifying!

Kimi just went quickest. Lewis couldn't match it. All very close at the top though, and BMW look strong.

Lewis isn't racing Kimi.

Where did Massa come?

Can't determine anything from practice times. Who knows if they were on the same fuel loads, same tyres, even if they were trying that hard. Not even sure why they put times on the coverage to be honest because they mean nothing (except to the teams themselves).

If a car is way off the pace such as the renault appears to be, you'll see it in practice. Yes, I agree that the time do not represent the exact running order and the track is likely to rubber in over the weekend, but Friday running does usually give a good indication as to each teams relative pace.

Never the less, a very tight field by the looks of it.

Oh and Flightman, Massa was 5th, 0.200 ahead of Kovi.

So, you've agreed he was 6th, not 5th. Well that's a start.

So, he was behind Lewis then?

And Raikkonen was ahead of Lewis, so what's your point?

My point, which I made in post 35, but I'll repeat it again for the dim witted on here was:

Lewis isn't racing Kimi.

I think what we all need is Lewis to stuff Ferrari's boys so comprehensively, even Chris goes and buys a Vodafone contract..
