Oh god..what will the FIA do!!!

I'm thinking McLaren will get a 10 place penalty for preparing 2 cars...

scooby L 12 September 2008 09:46 AM

I'm assuming the 1st cars had a dry track!?

4 seconds quicker lol

Turbo2 12 September 2008 09:58 AM

I wonder how many times those chicanes will get missed this weekend if it stays wet?

scooby L 12 September 2008 10:00 AM

I've counted 3 so far....

Going to be interesting.... hope one is a Ferrari on GP day....:lol1:

fast bloke 12 September 2008 10:05 AM

Apparently McLaren have been given a 5 lap penalty as the FIA has evidence that they looked up silver iodide rockets on the internet

Turbo2 12 September 2008 10:07 AM

Who pulled the plug out?

Dream Weaver 12 September 2008 10:07 AM

maybe the LHC has gone tits up -

HankScorpio 12 September 2008 10:13 AM

Bit damp innit?

scooby L 12 September 2008 10:17 AM

Possibility of Rain forcast for Monza:

Ferrari driver Massa said: "There is that possibility. This season we have already had to deal with rain, we'll see. I'd prefer if it didn't."

You don't say...:D

I really hope he's dissapointed....Just to even things up

HankScorpio 12 September 2008 10:19 AM

How much water is getting in the garages? It'll be sandbags next!

Turbo2 12 September 2008 10:20 AM

Next Practice at 1.00pm on same link. Hopefully the weather will have calmed down by then.

CharlesW 12 September 2008 10:54 AM

Forecast is for showers/thunderstorms all weekend.

Splendid!!!

scooby L 12 September 2008 11:14 AM

McLaren need to make sure both Hamilton & Kovo are front row... Lewis will need a rear guard into the 1st chicane if it's going to be that wet....

It all hinges on Q1-Q3's weather, if it's wet then Lewis, Kimi & Kovo will prob sew up the 1st 3 spots, with Massa fighting to hold onto 4th from Alonso and Webber...

Spec'c'57 12 September 2008 01:03 PM

looks like its drying now tho.

Gear Head 12 September 2008 01:07 PM

good good. Kimi is looking quick.

Now you are trolling! :thumb:

webber's nose is a bit close to his crash helmet. ;)

Gear Head 12 September 2008 01:22 PM

Ha Ha. Surprised they don't hand out 10 place grid drops for that! :D

Gear Head 12 September 2008 01:24 PM

Looks like its time to switch to the dry tyres. Bourdais is now on the pace. Very finally balanced between the dry and inter tyres at this stage.

Turbo2 12 September 2008 01:24 PM

Loving the commentary. None of the usual gaffes! ;)

Seriously you can actually hear the wheel spin and rev-limiters much better without the know-it-alls in the commentary box bleating on.

Any theories as to why Hamilton didn't take advantage of trying out the wet and then drying track earlier today, when a wet weekend appears to be on the cards?

Because he is just 'too' good. :D To be honest, they tested there 2 weeks ago and Hamilton is no slouch in the wet. Why waste the engine mileage?

And he has just gone fastest. :thumb:

FlightMan 12 September 2008 01:40 PM

Lewis looking quick isn't he.

It would have been good for him to get a feel for braking into those pesky chicanes though if it does turn wet again on Sat/Sun.

HankScorpio 12 September 2008 01:45 PM

That chicane will either be the best place all weekend or the most boring as they all tiptoe round it to stay in the rules.

How can you mention noses in F1 without reference to the "aquiline" Kubica??

That spin must have really put his nose out of joint.
