I think that a Saltire would have been more appropriate too. The Midlands vehicles had the flags because we were asked to fit them by the people organising the convoy.

I was in the flag, hope there's a better picture than the one the Sun printed. We left just after the annoucments and auction when everyone started to drift back to the cars. Had no illusions that the convoy around the track wouldn't work, just too many cars. Awesome acheivement to get us all spelling Colin Mcrae in the first place!

Did anyone get a memorial sticker as promised in the guide?

This was the problem - there are two lanes off the M40 and round the island on to the A46 which is dual carriage way. There should have been police getting people in both lanes to half the queue and helping with traffic on the island.

Never mind great day - thanks to the organisers & hopefully I will win a raffle prize.

Great I had to be in work by 10pm, so no way I could have waited any longer than the 5pm advertised. Is it possible to send an sae to the organisers to get one in the post? I'll mail them and ask.

LOL, amazing!!! I tried to memorize my position, so I could find myself when the photo was done!!! One of our club members was next to me in a P1 and another lucky ba*tard was actually in the "C" of Colin 2nd row 4th car down in a green wagon!!! Hence to say we got back quite a bit later than they did!!!

We were in the top right corner of the flag.

Yes, were were amongst the last dozen cars to leave the circuit!
To be honest, we knew it would take for ever to get everyone out, so we were happy just to sit and wait our turn. It was amazing to hear over 1,000 flat fours rumbling away when the auction had finished

Haha I'm using your car to see where mine is -- third down from the yellow one!

Great convoy, great day, great tribute.
