according to the retention certificate came off a 5 door subaru.
ring any bells with anyone here ?

Yep like them mate. no doubt will be lost in time to the younger generation but personally still like seeing 555 plated cars on my travels and knowing what the relevance off it means !!!

suppose would look especialy good on one off the series Mcrae cars

Thanks, they only did this year spec c's in White or blue, but White is the fastest colour ;-), the plate was on the car when I had it so has no meaning to me, I keep thinking of putting it back to a 55 plate but people do comment on the 555 plates.

Okay yep just wonder how many know the real relevance off what the 555 number actually stands for ?? what year was it last used and am I correct in saying the the 555 logos were removed from later rally cars due to the ban on cig sponsership and later cars just had the yellow flashes were the 555 logos were originally ??
