i have M555 RCP (my name is Marc Paynter) i randomly stumbled accross it and couldnt refuse so bought it there and then!

Okay cheers guys keep them comming in ! anyone here ever owned / seen " R555 RAE " done a google search and came up with ref to it being owned / sold by a member of a focus st forum.

according to the retention certificate came off a 5 door subaru.
ring any bells with anyone here ?

Still got mine but on something completely different and yes that is a STi badge on the back, was a bit of a joke for someone

Yep like them mate. no doubt will be lost in time to the younger generation but personally still like seeing 555 plated cars on my travels and knowing what the relevance off it means !!!

suppose would look especialy good on one off the series Mcrae cars

R 555 rae - anyone ??!!

What a lovely car !! white seems a very rare colour to find in the blobeye ??

p.s yep plate looks very good as well- the JJJ any significance ?!

Thanks, they only did this year spec c's in White or blue, but White is the fastest colour ;-), the plate was on the car when I had it so has no meaning to me, I keep thinking of putting it back to a 55 plate but people do comment on the 555 plates.

Okay yep just wonder how many know the real relevance off what the 555 number actually stands for ?? what year was it last used and am I correct in saying the the 555 logos were removed from later rally cars due to the ban on cig sponsership and later cars just had the yellow flashes were the 555 logos were originally ??

did not stop them wearing the 555 plates thou !!!!

Last seen on a works WRC in 1996, but made a few appearences in 2004. You're correct on the advertising ban.
