Personally speaking & looking at the website, swapping tickets between each other would be a logistics nightmare for the organisers.

Have a look here Colin McRae Subaru Gathering

Default HELP!!!

There's every chance I would agree with you if I was sitting with a ticket in my posession but currently I don't have that luxury. Also with so many cars travelling on the same journey odds are that it'll be a logistics nightmare anyway. The organisers are hoping for x amount of subarus to take part, if people have purchased 2 and in some cases 4 tickets there's every chance they won't achieve their goal but thanx for taking the time to reply anyway.

For anyone coming from Fife or futher up worrying about getting lost -

Just go across the bridge, round the Edinburgh bypass east following signs for Carlisle etc until you get to the A702 cut off. It has Biggar and Carlisle on it(Lanark as well possibly).

Then all you do is follow the A702 all the way to Biggar. Once you've passed through Biggar there's a junction to the right signposted Lanark. Just follow that all the way.

The only other turn you need to make is to go right over Hyndford bridge, but that's signposted anyway.

It's easy

stickers will be on sale at lanark at £20 but they will be limited, and if you aint got 1 you aint going

SUBARU CAR WITH NO STICKER UP FRONT
If you drive a Subaru and don’t have a sticker on the front of your car and want to take part in this
event then you will be directed to an area where you may be able to buy one for the front of your
car at the cost of £20. This will happen regardless of whether or not you have one displayed
elsewhere on your vehicle. This is entirely dependent on us having any stock of stickers remaining
which is not guaranteed. Any car participating in any part of this event MUST have a Gathering
sticker clearly displayed in on the FRONT of their car.

Do you think if I arrive by 8am there will still be stickers for sale? Will be struggling to get there any earlier! Is it at the cattle market that these will be getting sold?

I'll be doing the full weekend, Dumfries/Lanark/Banbury, with DGScoobs and co, we'll be joining Cumbrian Scoobs at Lockerbie at around 7-7.30am. Staying at Bo-Peep too, hopefully the weather'll be kind so we can get the barbeque kindled up.

We are considering that. Don't have a towbar, so I think we're going to improvise something. One option is connecting car and caravan together with ratchet straps round the towing eye at the back.

What do you think?

Why dont you connect them with ratchet straps at the front towing eye, run the straps down either side, loop them around the exhaust & then onto the caravan chassis ??

So what happens when you stop?

The caravan will plough into the back of the car!!

No lights on the caravan !!

I hope you were joking with that statement

I detect a small amount of Scottish sarcasm in that statement

Not if you brake correctly, the caravan will slow down with you, as for the lights, sit a 12v Battery in the back & connect the brake & tails to it, leaving them constantly on. Solves the problem of someone ploughing into the back of your caravan.
