That's what puts me off them..... servicing costs... ouch....
The cayman was £1200 for it's one (and only with me!) service.... the 911 is up a couple more notches..one day....
the salesman said he only has one road you can test drive their 997 Turbo.... one with nice open corners LOL....

You can get a Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) as an option on the 996.(normal 996 that is)
Loads of people had them as an option.
The X50 I've had a look at has a stainless system and I'm pretty sure that it wasn't retro fitted.
Unless all Porsche come with a stainless system?

Ha, saw it again tonight, was making a late dash to the in-laws and it was behind me, same one, thought my Cousin was driving again, but it was the owner, clocked it in the mirror, in my Saab and he closed pretty quickly but seeing as I use the road pretty much every day I gave it some J4CKO magic and he dropped back, got to the in-laws and rang my Cousin because I though he had turned up at our house and the missus had told him to follow me but it was the owner driving with my Cousin in the passenger seat.
I was thinking he would follow me up the in-laws drive but he went on, I rang my cousins mobile and said "Are you driving that Porsche again" so he said, "No, I am a passenger in it at the mo, why" so I said "You were behind me in the 911" so he then reports to the owner that it was his cousin you were struggling to follow driving a Saab
Now, I am under no illusions, if he had wanted to he could of handed me my **** on a plate but getting an expression of surprise from a 911 Turbo owner is quite pleasing.
I have offered my services for future driving duties.

Brother took me for a spin in his at the weekend.
I had been in a non turbo and thought...nice ...but didn't blow my socks off.Unlike this thing that just blew me away. Not in a pervy way,I did actually get a tingling sensation through my whole body .
(He did let me have a small blast.Even forgave me for leaving the handbrake on for a couple of miles )
A genuine supercar
*Edit...I wish the **** ones would stop all the '995,996,999 speak. Its as bad as the BMW E this and that squad. Its just a 911 to me

J4CKO - i have been trying to make my 12 year old saab 9k as fast as a porsche for a while now
Aim: for an instant in 3rd gear at 70, I will catch one off guard. This relies on an old codger in the porche who doesnt even know I'm there.
That said, I am at 420bhp if my latest plan comes to fruition.... and I've spend not much more than a set of 911 brake discs...
Old saab: 285bhp/tonne (420/1470kgs)
Porker: 281bhp/tonne (450/1700kgs)
I am happy to remain in La-la land until such time as I can afford a 911 Turbo.
Seriously though - the 993 Turbo has to be the nicest There's a black one downstairs here and its just beautiful. Not ungainly - just 'right'. I'd even trade the Saab for it

Those things can be mean! I'll start low though - point taken. The problem is finding one - usually there's a good plume of oil smoke to help track them down!
Scary to think the n/a 924 was 110bhp, and the Turbo was still a paltry 177bhp! How times have changed...

Was a passenger in a GT3 last weekend with another chap in a "normal" 911 - early morning jaunt Both cars are mental with the GT3 being a crazy car. My car isn't slow & I suspect would keep up to 100 ... after that they'd be gone!
