Wink just got back from the ring!! warning pic heavy!!

hi peeps i have posted before as to cut a long story short always wanted to drive the nordschliefe owned and sold my evo8 as didnt want to risk pride and joy.. so wanted to use a more disposable car.. so bought a fiat coupe 20 v turbo -- owned 2 before cheap and underrated however a lot of people were slating this choice so i bought a gt4 which was only any better at handling marginally every other area it was behind the fiat-- it was too noisy too crampt for 3 adults travelling across europe and not as quick.. despite 265 bhp jdm.. so quickly sold that after the other 2 adults in the group agreed the coupe a better car but i still wanted to try the extra stability and confidence 4wd gives so bought my scooby wagon wrx ppp
which was great for 8 days before bottom end going
so back to the fiat.. and to summarise the old gal didnt let me down after 1200 miles + 76 on the ferry and for all those thinking about doing this YOU WONT REGRET IT!! fantastic track and experience!! here are a few images to whet the appetite.... p.s will be going back next year in the scoob

was alot of scoobs out there mixing it with probably %70 german cars!!
a few quick stripped alfas and was great mixing it with the exotica too!! m.j

You wont regret it!! I was lucky when I first went, I was only 3hrs away in Hameln!! I'd spent nearly 6years in Deutschland and only made my first trip in my last 3months sod's law!!!

You'll say you'll 'take it easy' on your first few laps you wont

There were quite a few accidents when I last went a few months ago ( Lotus Europa rolled and a fair few bikes ) just take your time to learn it, it may take a while though I think I used around 3/4 of a tank for 4laps the last time I went!! Money well spent if you ask me!!

You'll see all sorts there

Just got back to the hotel, (working at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, only 30miles away) having spent the day, (5 Laps) at the Nurburgring, DAM I NEED A BEER!! Going again on the 4 Nov for more of the same, it was good fun on my other trips, (Landrover Series 1 Truckcab (109"), Seirra Cosworth (saphire), but in the scoob, hell a whole new ball game,

John

Not sure if doing the ring in a Landrover Series 1 would be my idea of fun 3 miles to Caldicot in my old Landy was quite enough
