Ok first thing the new bracket turned up for the tensioner to bolt on from RCMS yesterday, when i went to bolt it on i realise a problem.
The casting for the bolt holes was deeper as it was for a newer version impreza, after searching for ages i managed to find some longer bolts to redeem the problem!
It was raining all day and i had andy there helping me so i did not take many pictures but at the end of the day i snapped a few just do show you the end result.
Timing done, cam cover back on, crank pulley back on, HID's back on, indicators back on, bumper back on, fogs back on, new radiator on, aircon rad on

Today, lots of niggly jobs, got the power steering pump pipes in place and plumbed in, same with aircon, realigned the front bumper, wheel arch covers on, brakes on, downpipe back on, filled with oil.
Now i got 2 more bolts to put in the back engine mount holes, Bleed brakes, fit started motor, fit intercooler and fuel supply. then start!!!

looking good and almost there.
I was bricking it first time I turned mine over after doing just the IM and fuel system...its not nice

Loving the thread 
Just wondering though - you've clearly spent a fair amount on some choice bits, but surely the strength of the build will allow many more horses. Are you just being future proof?

I think around 320 - 340 BHP, Mainly because of my gearbox. If i could get a 6 speed cheap in the future i might consider going for more. At the moment i am just happy shes running! Might consider turning her into a monster soon!

Let her idle upto temperature. Check levels. Once she warmed up took her out for 15 - 20 mins, Give her 3500RPM Max, No Boost. Went through the gears getting upto speed quickly without using more than half throttle, did not put her under load either (4th gear up a hill for example), Brang her back and let her cool down and checked all levels. Went back home in her. Today i changed the oil & Filter today (26 Miles) just to get rid of any crap that could of been left over from the build and from the engine wearing in. There was a little but not much. Now im just going to carrie on driving at 3500RMP Max with no boost. Some people say that after 100 miles you can use 0.4Bar but i have broke my boost controller so im not going to be using any lol. Im going to do one more oil change at 100 Miles, Then 500, then 1000. If i got some spare cash i might do one more as the way i see it and oil and filter change is cheaper than another rebuild.

To put it on the engine stand i just used the 2 bolts that go from the top gearbox into the block, then i used the two studs sticking out the bottom of the block that go through the gearbox and just used the two nuts on them, so basically i just mounted it the same way that it would be mounted to the gearbox, but instead on an engine stand.

iv'e just aquired a complete cdb engine with bearing failure
just going to play about with it
best go and find meself some bolts now

All has been going quite well. Soon there is going to be a lot of bodywork going on.
Car has now done 130 miles without missing a beat.
I realised i had a small problem as in the rocker cover gasket was leaking a tiny bit. Like a idiot i tried to tighten it down a little on sunday. very first bolt i touch disastar struck! i felt the top centre bolt start to go. I stopped turning it as quickly asi could and just hoped it would be ok untill i managed to source another bolt. Long story short.....
Way home from work on monday, it blew out the hole. oil squirted out the hole left open from where the bolt used to be, Oil went all over the exhaust that my scoop on the bonnet looked more like thomas the tank engines chimney.
In this pic you can see the oil on the bodywork
With them being shoulder bolts i knew it had snapped of inside the head. Took rocker cover off. It had snapped about 4mm in from the surface. Anyways i got the bolt out and ordered New rocker cover gasket, Plug gaskets, half moons, bolt gaskets and new bolts!
The parts are going to be here thursday so she will be back up and running then.
No other news really. I dont see this as being a problem with the build. just must of been a weak bolt as i snapped it with a 4" spanner.
Car will soon be getting some bodywork done and one or two more goodies

2 new doors, new front bumper, new splitter, repair on rear bumper, repair on boot, repair on front wing, respray all the spats. Nut sure if to change the spoiler for the usual one
