Thats not a bad figure, had a RR day @ powerstation last saturday and a td0520g'd, 440's, fmic, 2.5" de-cat,apexie'd,afpr,induction kitted, andy forrest mapped 93 wrx did 327bhp, my td0520g'd 06 wrx got the highest power of the day (inc the evo's that came along) with 369.9bhp/369.1lbf.ft (has run 404.7lbf.ft on same RR with cooler temps)
.
Also, what boost were you running ?
249.6bhp atw, powerstation use a maha RR (much greater losses between flywheel and wheels than a dastec or dyno dynamics RR),saw a dastec graph of a simlar powered car with approx 330bhp atw but my cars only ever been on powerstations RR.
350 on the dyno ur propberly getting more on the road.the Tdo5 20g turbo is a very good turbo it produces figures from 350mimum to 380bhp. but when u add meth octatne booster u can get up to 440, i think andy forests own car was runing 440 or 430 not 100% sure.
think about 370/380 on a 20G with pump fuel is pretty normal TBH, its the same as what im making on my 20G with similar mods to yours (view my scooby) Andy reckoned i was about 360/370 @ 1.3 bar on pump fuel and 390/400 on scottimax @ 1.45 bar, the car hasnt been dyno`d its just the figures he gave me after our mapping session so no graph from me
sy i really wouldnt worrie , as you and pretty much every one who has been in your car or seen it says "it goes like f#ck" so i really wouldnt worrie to much mate , worrie when my wagons all over yout back lol .(in ten years time ).

It only made 335bhp at Powerstation @ 1.5 bar but previously made 330bhp @ 1.3 bar with a misfire
Like I told you,it's never ending
It does go very well on the road but it's still dropping off boost at the top end which is annoying me now because nobody seems to know why it's doing it for certain !

I've just been out in mine and one minute it's holding 1.55 bar then it's only holding 1.2 bar

That's exactly what i'm thinking,I was expecting at least 370bhp when I built the car and went for the 20G !
himself, also a 2ltr with a AF td05-18g came close to 360bhp
, powerstation is the RR most of the guys at "south wales scoobys" choose, we know its conservative but consistant and shows true progresion from modding, we also know some other RR's give exagerated figures (could see over 400bhp from mine)
, but whats the point.

Nothing wrong with the turbos (not supplied by powerstation),all from Andy F

not saying theres anything wrong with powerstations rollers lol
but the above figure of 360 from an 18G speaks for its self really, if a 18G is making 360 (which is a bloody healthy figure for an 18G!!) then surely a 20G should be making more than 330/340?

i fitted an andy f 20g few weeks ago and got paul to map it,i had similar problem while he was mapping it .it would shoot up to 1.55 then back off to 1.1ish turned out to be the gold paint on the actuator was making it stick ,it freed itself off in the end and made 1.55 all the time and holds it solid

IC pipework, clamps etc have been checked and re-checked as all other pipework etc has been aswell.
Only other thing I can think of at the moment is that maybe I have a dodgy Andy Forrest 20G
The other thing to consider is that the turbo is just one small part of the overall system, and that to make "good" power on a given setup, everything needs to be right.

Something which hasn't been discussed so far is the fact that this is, presumably, a 12 year old engine! It's probably not going to produce the same power levels that it would have done at half that age! 350 in a classic is nice. The only issue I'd have is would this have been achievable with a smaller turbo to improve boost threshold, response etc...

Couldn't agree more!
I get quite a few PMs asking about my mods and some people seem genuinely surprised when I reply with a list of mods, rather than just the serial code for a turbo!

The spec was put together with 380bhp in mind or more, that's why I chose the 20G over the 18G after taking advice from Andy Forrest.
Zen haven't set any of this up for me,just took it to them to see what they could do with it.
Oh,and the engine is a very low mileage sti ra v-limited
Regarding the spec, most parts are the same as when I was running a wrx engine apart from the turbo,at the time I was running a standard TD05 16g and that produced 340bhp/320ft/lbs @ 1.4 bar
I'm sure if it would hold the boost better that I would get somewhere near the figures that I expected.

Maybe i've been unlucky and got 2 weak actuators from Andy Forrest
