what sort of electrical background do you have, not being funny but i dont wanna buy a product for a small sum of 30 quid that could turn my car into a candle

Firstly, the units are fused, so there's no danger of shorts and setting your car on fire. Secondly, what's contained inside my modules is a trade secret

Pic...

Electrical experience? Do you need electrical experience to come up with a good idea? It's a simple device, sir. It doesn't change the way the motors on the mirrors work, simply adds automation of an existing process.

you can get these devices that fold up your mirrors, roll up all your windows and turn them into one touch roll up as well for about 30 buns

They don't work like that. My module simply folds the mirrors in when the ignition is switched off to save you remembering to operate the switch manually.

Hi the way i did it on my classic which was a 96 sti. i found the aerial went up/down when the ignition was turned on/off.... so just swithched the wiring from the auomated aerial and the mirrors switch round and there i had it. and also didnt have to have a big bloody aerial up all the time.

Good idea, but I think my module is a little more elegant

Buy one of my modules and you get the wiring diagram/installation instructions for free

Seriously, the diagram for installing my module can be found here. It won't help you unless you buy one though...

I'd just say do my aerial way... That way your not getting conned plus you don't need to have your aerial up if you don't need it.

And if you don't have an electric aerial like all of the Uk Turbo owners???

Take it easy mate, MS made this kit up to make life easier for people, he also sells these on Skyline forums, I'm sure there aint as many people bitching and moaning about it on there. People on here are getting conned left right and centre, paying for things that they could do themselves. Its their choice so leave them to it (not that I think this is a con BTW)

Actually, no-one is bitching an moaning on the Skyline forums

Thanks, joey turbo, for your post. I'm certainly not trying to con anyone. Time and effort went into these, I'm simply charging for that. If people don't agree with what I'm charging for them, they don't have to buy one.

His aerial idea is actually really good

Anyone who has tried to develope, manufacture and then market a product from scratch appreciates how hard a process it is. To come on and snipe, belittle and then accuse the developer of said product of being a con sums the attitude of some of the posters on this thread.
Nobody has gun to your head forcing you to buy this product. Okay it's a simple electrical gadget but so what? The OP spent time and money developing it in to a marketable end product. Credit where it's due. As for the bloke who came on rubbishing it as a relay, what qualification did he have? HND was it? 'Has No Degree'!
Major Sarcasm I think you have a good product never mind the besmirchers. As someone said 'everyone pities the weak and less able, jealousy has to be earned'. If I was in the market for such a product I would certainly buy it and at £30 it's a fair price.

Wink

Thanks for your support guys.

I really should have said before, but all the people that have bought one of these recently have got them for £21 (the quid is for PayPal the robbing gits) I decided to charge less after all the slagging off I got

Perhaps I ought to edit my 1st post to reflect the price that I'm actually charging...

Hi MS - would this gadget work for an 08 / 09 sti?

There's a fold / unfold switch on the 08 / 09 - it's one of those two position buttonss - press & release to fold the morrors (the button end up in a depressed position) , then press and release the button for them to un-fold (the button ends up in an un-pressed pos).

I know quite a few 08 owners who would like one of these

B*ll*x - not so easy as I'm based in Wirral & the IOW is a fair trek

Let us know if you figure out how your gizmo would work on the hatch - you can find us on the 08/09 hatch thread on the members gallery whinging about forgetting to fold the mirrors after getting out of the car

if it helps any desings in case you didnt know (you probably do tho) the switch is a constant Live, its a break in the little copper slip within the mechanism of the wing mirror that makes it stop in its postion etc, took me a good few hrs to fit a new motor to my wing mirror as i messed the sequence up and it would fold to much or not enough !

dragons den here you come ! :-)

Thanks for the info. However, my module modifies the way the switch works, not the mirrors themselves.

Working with someone on the 08/09 models. Watch this space.
