I've been with the Halifax since I was 16.

I do the 10% saver thing for my daughter too.

I've had a few issues with them and am thinking of changing to Smile.

I changed ISP and my old ISP kept charging me for 6 months. Couldn't get anywhere with them and went to Halifax. I pointed out that the DDM guarantee clearly states that if theres a mistake by either the bank or the company in question, the bank is responsible for sorting it out.

Halifax did not want to know. Tried saying that how did they know I wasn't using both ISPs (on one line FFS!). In the end I made the manager ring the ISP in front of me and sort it out.

I'll check out Smile.

Recently moved my mortgage, ISA and current account to First Direct, and they were excellent on all three counts.

£100 bonus as well for having my salary paid into my current a/c (and they were offering another £100 if I didn't like them and subsequently moved elsehere).

There's a reason FD are top of the customer satisfaction list!!

Came from NatWest ... who quite frankly were s&%t!
