I hate seeing threads like this. Our STi6s engine let go recently and I just stuck it in the garage whilst I tried to make up my mind what to do with it. I dont wnat to know how many goodies are out there nor what can be done. Fingers in ears, *na na na naaaaa*.

Awesome build, very impressive, got my mind going now on the 'maybe we could just do XYZ route', I hate you for that! Im sooooooooooooo trying to stay right at the top of the very steep slippery slope with my Impreza!

Put it this way - if you spend all your time and resources on your car - the wife will leave you - a win win situation .

1. Come on Sy, stop sand bagging. We've seen the spec and a 50 bhp increase would be a kick in the ***** for the time/effort/cash invested in this puppy.
2. These videos will have to be posted on redtube not youtube as, like the rest of the car, they will be utter ****.

Good luck with the mapping.

yeah but i bet it's going to have a fair bit more torque due to the extra bit of displacement.

Don't underestimate how difficult it is to make genuine big power. 650hp is no joke, especially on pump fuel or pump+additive. Nos certainly works, but needs care. No need to fret though, I think Sy has everything under control!

I have to admit i'm in awe mate.
I'm quite new on here and haven't heard of you.
I had a look at your "view my scooby" and pissed my self laughing at your specs, thought you were missing a screw.
It turns out you are missing a screw but for all the right reasons!!

Good luck with the project mate.

Less physical displacement but more dynamic displacement [Air Pumping Capacity] - so matt is correct

Its goodridge - normally £20/m from Demon - but Goodridge were selling surplus stock on ebay recently for £6/m.

Headers are going to be coated next week once the bungs are fitted for the EGTs.

I think I'm about to run into the same problem with some SYMS equal length headers and my oil cooler is already plumbed in so its going to be a pita.

Are the connections on your sandwich plate vertical or horizontal? Might be more of a PITA if they're horizontal?

Alan, as usual I've made it hard for myself; one is horizontal and the other vertical
