Interesting conversion to a hydraulic concentric clutch release bearing setup you have there
Guessing it's operating a conventional push clutch rather than a pull clutch that most Turbo Scoobs have. Whats the bearing from? Did it just bolt up or did you have to make a mounting face for it?

The bungs/holes in your pipework are for purely temporary use.....you're giant pet worm wanted somewhere to play while you were fiddling about with that bloody car again!!
A soon as you come to fit the pipework, the holes will be plugged and your worm will have to find somewhere else to play
Am I close?

Using the concentric bearing has simplfied the whole thing and the clutch action is so light that when installed we thought it wasnt working as pedal action is very very light.
The kit for the bearing, mounting plate with pipes (which have a dry break connector to allow for easy gearbox removal) is designed and sold by RCM - natrually its not the cheapest - but it works perfectly. Its also self adjusting.
Its fitted to the gobstopper - so I guess it will take 800bhp.

Si, loving the attention to detail. Are you doing the work yourself? If you are then you're doing a nice job.
Are they Perrin drop links? If so make sure they sit vertically when the suspension is loaded. I had to fit extra washers to mine between ARB-drop link and drop link-wishbone. If they are angled too much the small circlip holding the rose joint in place can be popped out and the rose joint falls out!

No, im not doing the work myself - AlanG who I bought the car from in april 07 agreed to do the work for me, after I blew an Engine in Nov 07. RCM built the engine and supply most of the parts and lots of advice- which has proved a good combination. My input is posting on Scoobynet and giving it large.
Yes, we relised the perrin drop links were at the wrong angles and have built up spacers and longer bolts the bring them almost vertivcal - but thanks for the tip.
BTW all my ARBs were powder coated black, as the car is a sleeper and i didnt want too many colours under there.

Its the standard STI8 but powder coated silver - it came out a bit ripply as the red textured finish left it a bit rough - its got some extra lums/bungs on it i dont need - so I will probably do sum grinding and get it recoated a bit later once i get the damm fing on the road.

Si, obviously you block looks brand new... is it new or has it been heat cycled at all?
Im starting with a brand spanking new block for my build, just wondered if you were doing the same.
