Steve, don't worry, you're not in the dog-house sir! I just like flexing the moderator powers sometimes and your post gave me the opportunity.

Cool

I can highly recommend the 605cs's to anyone. They fit directly into the space from the old speakers. I have attached the tweeters to the space on the inside of the door where the mirror joins. Sounds bloody good & avoids any tricky wiring. I've got the 655i's in the back which with some home made spacers fit quite nicely but I think you can get 625i's (or is it 652i's I can't remember) that are 16cm & should fit straight in. The head unit is blinding but that I think is down to personal preference & whether you need it to make the tea & do the dishes.

Hope this helps as I find all the discussions that have been going on very confusing also. Especially when all i'm after are some speakers that sound good.
