Well, here we go. I have bought from Jim16v, Fadge, Hungrytang and Tupps lately and have had first class comms and service from all three. Hope this helps people unsure of others honesty.

Bit of thread resurrection. Guy is a grade a **** I never received the gearbox and had paid partly by paypal balance and partly by credit card so lost all the amount paid from the balance so be aware do not pay with your balance. Would love to know where this guy lives.

how is it possible that you have lost money when used balance? are you not covered by paypal when using their service regardless if it's used from PP balance or your card?

I think you have been done up like a kipper.

Even if you pay a pound on your card you can claim the whole balance on the cars iirc

You usually lose the card protection as you are not paying the seller direct. You are paying paypal which then pay the seller. You can argue with the providor but some wont budge

You are only fully protected through Paypal if it's an ebay item. Outwith that if you pay with your balance paypal are useless when it comes to these types of disputes. I was refunded the portion paid on my card by the card provider but paypal said there was nothing they could do with the portion paid of from the balance so be warned. If I pay for things now I always pay by card never from a balance.
