Will we get points deducted for the caravan? If not then that definitely has to be there!
Anyone who isn't going and has a spec stand can you please either bring to the EOM or arrange to hand it over before NBO as we'll need them. I'll be doing more spec sheets for the people that are going so please get your spec sheets to me asap!
As discussed this weekend, I don't think we need a theme as such, just a nicely presented and tidy stand. This may mean having to sacrifice cars for space This is the biggest show of the WYIOC and Scoobynet calendar so come guys, get involved and get your suggestions in.

Just a little pointer from my vast knowledge of WYIOC events organisation, although that sound like a joke it's really not
If your going for a club stand win, or trophy, less is often more, some subtle pointers in 'Lord Hardings' NBO thread trust me on this
Always a bone of contention this event with not putting all members cars on the stand and choosing a broader spectrum of suitable cars in an attempt to get a club prize.
The club prize awards are more in depth than any other event on the calender, simply a lot of clean cars is not whats needed, to be honest a handfull covered in mud would probably stand more chance of winning if the theme was right serioulsy!
The 'Lord' put this thread up specifically for clubs, a lot of valuable info for clubs looking to take something away from this.
Point structure is all laid out here too, "I don't think we need a theme" that's 20points gone!
Worth a read my fellow WYIOC'ers
NBO Club Info here!
if your going for the lets get all the cars parked up safe and sound for the event and not looking to win, impress, and wow the public, ignore all the above

my pleasure mate, this is one we have always come away with nothing (club stand wise) and felt hard done to because we have had 20 shiny cars all parked up. one year a single Terzo won first place, yep one car one man above all the clubs with 20 cars, and good on him as it was a great with a good theme ( he is now a judge)
its not easy to win, and really does take a full team (club effort) some cars may have to be sacrificed from the stand to get the overall look and feel right.
Unfortunately human nature then kicks and members may feel, hard done to or indeed 'put out' that there pride and joy was not chosen to appear. understandably right too given we all love our cars and the scene, but this event is more about the club than each members cars, together we can get this right.
Its a difficult one to organize, without feeling your letting members down, but with the valued, and agreed input from all those actually attending!! (as they and only they can have a valid objection to not getting there car actually on the stand) all should be well.
constructive and explanatory reasoning for choices made with everyone's agreement and input should remove the likelihood of disappointment confrontation.
all those attending really need to get together, as you say, pretty sure with everyones input something will come together, for the good of everyone going.

Spot on Mick, I've said the same thing.
With all this in mind I think it would be better to concentrate this months EOM specifically on our NBO stand, discussing ideas, cars and themes. As we all know this has to be sorted as soon as possible.
I've had a few ideas but given the short deadline I don't think it would be do-able but I will put the suggestions accross on Thursday.

oooh another thing....you can tell i'm doing soooo much work today!!!
did i think i read correctly that there is a seperate area for best car on the day....in which case any car entering that wouldnt be on the club stand??
i've made up a cut-and-play model of the stand area and the cars, just gotta get it transferred to something you can all download (if you wanna play!)
also have lots of ideas for things we need to do. i've got a conference call tomorrow morning which will decide if the thursday night work is going ahead, so can update on my attendence to EOM then. other than that i'll send ideas onto POBmiester - whom i am electing as stand manager....you go girl!!!

Hi James
I had already popped you on the stand with the car.
the max is 18 but we have the caravan so need to work out how much space we have.
Going to see what everyone says tomorrow night about it all.
Is the clinic having a stand ?
Sarah
