is the conversion from a 90 degree inlet to a front entry an easy thing to do? anybody done this or have a "how to" guide would be great.

Would the VF28 be a suitable replacement and would this require any mods to fit a standard MY00?

A good replacement for upto 310-320ish bhp I think.

As you already have an uprated fuel pump, then all you would need is a remap after fitting a VF28.

I have been thinking about the VF28, its the standard turbo on P1s.

If I change my turbo, I don't want to go too high as I'm concerned about my gearbox having done 103k.

STiX Wouldn't bother with the 28 unless you can get it v cheap, VF 35 better and can also be had cheaply! Will also tolerate running without a DV if you like the sound!

but would the VF35 be a direct bolt on replacement for a MY00.

Will an external wastgate be required?

Apologies if the questions sound abit n00bish, i just want to make sure im spending the right money in the right places, and wanna make sure its absolutely right.

when i had my 03wrx ecutek's it cost 599 inc VAT, BUT that was for the licence, all mappings after this will be cheaper, when i changed my turbo i got it remapped, which seems a waste of time cos only 3bhp more after the map, and NO noticible difference while driving!!!
oh the remap cost around £200, which i thought was rather dear, compered to some rolling road mappers!!

I had my TD05 16G fitted, went all the way home (50 mile motorway journey). Left the car for a week and then drove back there to have it mapped. Just have to be very sensible and patient.

£350 seems cheap for a remap, usually ECUTEK mappings go for £500 - £550 + VAT. Do a search on here, you'll soon find out who the popular mappers are. See if the person doing yours is one of them!
