Phil, to help you decide or confuse you further on your choice of colours, take a look at these examples:

Phil, while u are enquiring about the EL thingy, can u also check if a musical interface is available? That will be an useful bit of kit to really tart up your car.

What's needed is the matching accessories - tinted windows, ICE with a sub powerful enough to cause internal organ damage, copious tatoos, a bird in a really short leather skirt to pass the funny-baccy and a ride height so low that even a few fallen leaves will present a challenge.

Are we driving Scoobies or pimp parlors?

Phil, you call yourself the Salsa King and u don't know what's a musical interface? An electronic gadget that synchronises your lighting effect to your music, e.g. flashing, pulsating as in a disco.

Phil,
thanks for the chat @ donno yesterday. just to confirm, you're talking to the chap at xenoline.com yes?

think I'll hold off and see what you do, though your ideas of what to go for and how and where to position it sound bang on.

plus I would not want to out do the salsa-king

I am thinking of getting a set of under car neons so I would be interested to know how the deal goes and whether they ship over here.

ok, well i've gone and done it now!!!
i've odered 15' of Powerline in purple! $49.95!!!!

also ordered some blue power line for my sisters Ka (5') $27.95

and 3 FLASHING t-shirts as well....see their web page for them!!

i hope to have the order by next week.

Stephen
they do ship to the uk no problem...and i think they are a good price for thire products too. Email John Arnaut at Xenoline to get any detail you require about Under car neon. He's been very help full.

I'm getting the PowerLine Neon with cigar lighter adapter so i can plug straight into the power...then if i want to remove the Neon at a later date the stuff is then not HARD WIRED in to the battery!

big kid i know, but whn you see it you'll al want it!

Phil, you are really OTT, 15' of purple lights on your roof liner plus flashing T-shirts, your passengers will need UV glasses to protect their eyes. Are you getting them shipped by air express, hence the rather high charges? I have compared prices for neon lights versus the Powerline version and the latter are more economical. Thanks for being the guinea pig, we'll like to see how they turn out.
Cheers.

phil,
you da man! I've gotta see this when it's installed, I'm rather tempted, if it was not for the bonnet problem, I'd be well up for some of this as well.

look forward to seeing the car with it on.

One up on Trouser eh? he may have the stickers but you'll have the neon, unless he decides to give his beast the real full on max power deal and neon it up to the max.

Chatted to my Dad about them last nite as he's my auto electrician, amongst other things. He thinks they're tacky. I'm sure I can talk him round or sort it myself. Waiting on my bonus at the mo! Ordered some fog lamp protectors in the mean time.

Phil, as I said, the EL Powerline is cheaper than neon tubes. I had wanted to order the neon tubes earlier, before I stumbled on the EL site, but the thought of paying possibly more than the price of the tubes to get them air-freighted or possibly suffer damage in transit by surface mail put me off the idea for the time being. What made u buy the flashing t-shirts as well, planning to go to plenty of rave parties? If so, I have just the right thing for you, glowing 'ice cubes' and drink stirrer.

Phil, I'll wait until you fitted yours first and see what's the reaction like. If favourable, I may even try to be an agent and import them for resale. The local population here is quite crazy over the little blue washer lights and those that flash inside the headlights, but the EL stuff will blow them away. The only problem is the high import cost because of exchange rates, unless I can get a really good dealer's price from them.

Let us know whether the T-shirts is any good in making you a better dancer (all flash and no substance)? Why not try to get them to design a t-shirt for car lovers as well, that will be fun.

Bizarrely, it's Ian Bell (co-author of Elite, the BBC B game) who does this.

Phil,

Is the price inclusive of all import tax? I ordered a dts sign for around £60 then got landed with another bill for about £20 for import tax / VAT etc.

Saw a dodgy looking Nova last night with one blue washer and one red. Looked very odd indeed. They've at least got to match.

ITS HERE!!!!! it came this morning......£26.95 uk tax to pay on top thought!!! lol BUT it was for 5 products that i sent for....two lots of Neon wire and the THREE t-shirts as well, so i don't think thats too back about £6ish VAT per item! oh and £11 odd for the postage handling over here too!

now i need to get it fitted!!

it looks wicked, the bore of the neon is really small so i'll be able to fit it to some cool places!

wait and see

Phil

Phil, happy to know u liked the t-shirts, otherwise it will be on my conscience for having índuced'u to be guinea pig. Are the t-shirts something simple enough to be 'reversed engineered' at a low labour cost country like China (most probably it is manufactured there already)for something like $2 a piece? We can set up shop and clean up your UK market then, lol.
