Can anyone recommend a network hard drive.

Manually - and you have to hold the power switch pressed for about 3 seconds before it will take any notice (that's the design, not a fault!)
If you're wondering, I've not been minded to test what happens if I turn it off while the backup of a huge file is "in-flight" into it
