Great game, ferocious 1st goal from Drogba, no chance of stopping that, p1ssed myself when Avram was going for the ball only to see Gerrard coming towards him and shat himself, I'd have preferred Liverpool as it would have been a better final, but you can't have everything.

You talk about Chelsea and spending money?? All the big clubs are the same now the only players that get into your first team that you haven't bought in the last few years are Carragher and Gerrard same with Manure they've only got Giggs and Scholes, Chelsea have Terry, Lampard, and J Cole Chelsea aren't the only team spending money

yes but the difference between chelsea and "manure" is the following dear boy
united were hugely successful before they bought £20-30m players... why? because they had the homegrown players, and then spent the money earned during the success on more players to replace them. remember before united were bought by the glaziers, we were on the stock market.
however, chelsea were (beofre abramovich) buying cheap foreigners or past it players (like sparky hughes for example) and had debts of what £100-200m under bates.
then sugar daddy comes along, buys everything and anything to stop other teams from buying players, and people wonder why chelsea are hated as much as united.
united are hated as supposedly their fans are glory hunters... maybe so but we got were we are today in recent times thanks to sucess and good business management. chelsea are where they today thanks to a rich russian dude... simple.

Yeah, United never bought Rio Ferdinand for a british record (£30m+ IIRC) back in 2002 did they? £7M in '95? for Andy Cole was a reasonable amount back then. Alot of the youth players you have came from smaller clubs who did all the original scouting work. fair enough I cant begrudge that though even if a few of them came from our direction. Footballers want to better themselves and will always jump to a bigger club given the opportunity.
But you cant say United didnt spend the money when they wanted a player enough. Youre not much better than Chelsea in that respect. The whole of football is now revolved around money so if anyone wants to challenge they have to spend, how you can complain just because theres someone challenging by spending money is beyond belief in todays climate.

United spend big but also give young talent a chance... that's about the only difference between United and Chelski in the spending stakes... oh other than Uniteds cash is from the lifeblood of the club in the main and not one persons fortune.
Erm, USA's young talent, when?
Oh very expensive young talent, thought you ment that came through the ranks
silly me.So you spent £25 million on Rooney, £20 million on Nani, that's the way to give young talent a chance
.How does that differ to Joe Cole, Lamps, JT?
Since the bank of Roman took over it's established internationals all the way. Cant blame them for that but all the youngster Chelsea snap up from other clubs they don't stand a chance of breaking into the first team. I think the history at United shows they do there.
That was before you were rich and had to take a little gamble on players

JT and Frank Lampard were at Chelsea before Roman Abramovich

oh look, a clever scouser
This season Anderson and Nani. Previous seasons. Rooney, Ronaldo. All teenagers in the first team regularly. Chelsea tend to go out and look to buy ready made players. United will look to nurture talent in the United style of play
