cant help but think liverpools luck ran out just at the wrong time.

ref had two massive decisions to make. the essien goal was offside due to where the offenders were stood, but sorry, that WAS a penalty against drogba on hyypia.

caragher needs to go doesnt have any compusure,poor in the air, never chips in with goals, lacks pace and always boots the bal.makes us loose posesion the other team attack and scores

Riise- ginger **** goes on the ground too easily and never improves.

kuyt - works very hard but plays out of position lacks pace and finishing,

veronin - just rubbish

we have players like alonso who is quality can dectiate the pace of the game but he lacks players around him.

we need to have attacking wingbacks centre back that can chip in with a few. look at wat CLICHE, ashley cole,daniel alves,zambrotta in the old days.

United could sell Becks because they had other class players in the team to cover and they are good enough to attract big names easier than other clubs.

On last nights game, thought it was a great show of character from both teams, WTF was Cech doing for Babels goal though? I reckon he should have had that covered. I supported Chelsea last night, purely because I felt theyre the only team out of the two to give United a run for their money in Moscow. Should be firey

 

I think the key to good goalkeeping is to react BEFORE the ball goes into the net.

 

To be beaten at the near post is unforgiveable but to be fair to Riena, he was still reacting from the previous shot to a degree and Drogba did hit that ball like he wanted to burst it.

yeah, sounds easy doesn't it, we'd all be keepers earning 50k a week right.

 

For once (and it pains me) I have to agree with Ash. I dont think you even need to play football to appreciate the power drogba put into that shot and the fact it was low (hands react faster than feet) meant that would have required a super human reflex save. The term "drilled" is very apt. I would however blame him for palming Kalou's shot over to drogba but at the same time where were the liverpool defence by then?

I think it will come down to who takes the Premiership title. I think that will be such a lift for one team and deflate the other that it will carry the winner to take the double. Even though the stats say historically that doesnt happen i.e. winner/champion of domestic league doesnt usually win Champions league in the same year (apart from '99 of course - oops I sound like a 'pool fan looking back to historical achievements ).
