Wow! There is defo appeal in online play!

Last night I had a private party with my cousin and his mate and we basically had the run of the whole city and kept inventing games to play. The best was racing to various points. For example we'd all line up at the safehouse (northern tip of westermost island) and race to the airport by any road means (car, bike, truck). There are 3 identical helicopters in a row at the airport so we'd then fly back and land on the roof of the safehouse. You then had to grab a boat and boat it back to the airport - first back to his helipad wins. It was total comedy I can't describe how hard I laughed when all 3 of us were weaving through traffic flat out in Ferrari's and my cousin had the most epic crash sending his man clean through the windscreen where he was then minced up by the 15 odd cars that were crashing all around him

 

I have completed about 15% presently and have noticed that there seems to be new features such as mission endings that can go either way which I think might influence how the story pans out.


I think Michelle is an undercover cop aswell

 

God I hope not.... Whilst on a date last night I shot a man, jacked a car to get her home and then ran over 3 people in the process......

 

I think you're wishing the game is deeper than it actually is.

Played about 20 hours of it so far, and without micro analysing the game in minute detail, it's definately up there with the best games I've played. LOL @ Saxo Boy's online antics!

 

I think so too, every time I take her to a bar I get battered and she drinks **** all, then expects me to drive home! Still got me end away though

 

Actually, without giving any spoilers, there are one or two twists once you get a way in

 

michelle did not mind me killing a few bouncers at the strip club, she must be deep under

I spent 3 hours stealing cars to order then suddenly realised it was only a way to make money and had nothing to do with progressing the story.

have a look at the big screen tv in playboy x's apartment when you get it as a safe house you have to kill him and let dwayne live tho... Rockstars little dig at Halo hahaha real funny master chief as a hillbilly bob....this game is too deep man the man hours to create this masterpiece is unbelieveable havent been this addicted to playing a game since champ man 00-01 my moment so far .. had to chase a russki in the m3 chose a bike to get the job done random semi auto spray at the car as he rounded the corner caught him in the back of the head causing him to slump at the wheel horn blaring and the car slowed ending up hitting a tree as the m*&^^%f%$$^r was dead!!!!!!!

1 hour 6 mins spent playing fooken bowling and still cant get 3 strikes in a row


compleated 25% of the game i think, got the wheelie achivement today, found a random bloke on a motorcross bike, doddle to wheelie down the motorway

 

yup, don't think the game is that great, done a few missions and i am already bored

 

i still think the controls are clunky as ****

it never seams to play smooth, i was trying to get that achievement for doing 10 counter attacks in 4 mins

i can see the other chap go to swing a punch, i press A
nothing happens and i get a fist to the face, this happens more times then me actually dodging and doing the counter move

i think driving the vehicles around is fine, its just the pedestrian stuff that feels a bit weird, also the same old GTA problem of driving across the map to get to a mission, dieing, and having to drive halfway across the map, tailing some bloke in a car at 10mph, to redo it, even when the text message on the phone gives you "another chance" starts to get me frustrated as hell.

i have had to adjust the contrast and brightness up again in the ingame settings, going to faustins club to kill him, he runs out the back, i follow him and simply can not see where the **** he has gone as everything is to dark and black

i was surprised when i picked up the hooker, the alleyway i took her down was only wide enough for 1 car, which meant the camera was zoomed in a bit more then usual, paid for the $70 service and watched her unzip the pants, what looked like get his **** out, then ride him up and down in the car, cant remember you actually seeing anything like that in the previous games, seams a bit strange when you see nothing while banging "michelle" ?

think i have about 10 hours 30 mins playtime done now

 

You set a waypoint and get a cab to the waypoint. Then you just skip the journey to arrive instantly. Costs you a small fortune like but you get there quick

 

That kinda skips what they are trying to achieve, but totally agree, it's constant drive from a to b kill mr c, repeat rinse, tell me again how this got 98% metacritic??

As for michelle being a copper as posted above, i dated her twice and got bored with the whole sims crap (which you thought they'd got rid of, no more going the gym, but oh no, you gotta look after all your mates instead) and never bothered again, got told half way thru the story that she's a cop, so it was kinda pointless

According to my profile i've played over 120 games including arcade and i honestly think that many of those were better, people are afraid of going against the flow and admitting something isn't quite as expected.

to be honest, i suspected that she was as she asked a few dodgy questions, and one of the women available to date from the internet site, looks suspiciously like her but with a fuzzed out picture

i figured i was about halfway through the main game, but i have not been told this info yet, do you have to do the bruice missions ?

i was going to leave them till the end and come back for them

 

I've decided this game is 7 kinds of awesome. It's utterly fantastic. There is just so much in there. Loads of great touches. The controls are far far better than they used to be.

Have people been watching the TV on the safehouse? It's ****ing brillliant.
