Hopefully Liverpool will win tonight and then Man Utd to show them how to play entertaining football in the final as Chelsea would make it far too boring a final
How do you think Barca are dirty? I thought Zambrotta was penalised for the yellow card unfairly, once on yellow Ronaldo was pretty much told to go bother him and Zambrotta no matter how much stick he was getting kept it proffessional IMO. thought they played pretty fairly and clean, thats for both teams.

Tend to agree... although Milito on Ronnie from the corner was shall we say 'agricultural'

Funny how a Man Utd Barca thread turns into a "let's all rubbish Liverpool" discussion.

Let's discuss last nights game shall we? The one Liverpool didn't play. What did we see?
Well, Barca are a pale shadow of the CL winners of 2 years ago. Eto looked past it, no threat at all. Valdez as well. Much like arsenal, lots of pretty footballs with little penetration. The one highlight was Messi who is without doubt a better footballer than Ronaldo.

Utd? Playing their worst football of the season, without doubt. Poor against Barca last week, poor against Chelsea on Saturday and apart from a wonderful hit by Scholes, poor again. What did Ronnie do last night? Once again a big let down in a big game. All he can personally take from the semi is a missed penalty.

Got to say, as much as it pains me, I can see John Terry lifting the trophy in Moscow.

Still, one last hurrah before the clubs implodes eh!

great game to watch ? luckily i was working on my laptop and looked up only when it was worthy. Barca by their own high standards are not the same as they were in 06 or even last year when we played them at the Nou camp. Lots of possession and no real outcome.

Messi on the other hand shows why he is a world class player, imagine what he could do if he was fit.

I'm really not getting this Ronaldo not turning up thing. 1st leg yes he missed the pen then had pretty much zero to feed off all game.

Last night asked to play a similar role. For me he put in a real team performance. He worked all game; at one point bent over blowing hard! (oh err ). How often do you see that from him? He was unselfish and was always looking to bring Nani, Tevez and Park into the play. He was the one who opened up their defence with his run which led to the goal, he was back defending with clearing headers and he was making 30 yard sprints to put pressure on their defenders. He and Tevez had thankless tasks and both did them superbly for me.

Messi was superb. If however Barca were the ones keeping it tight and sitting back then Ronaldo two would have had chance to run at players and pick passes. he almost set up Park with some great skill then a cross to the back post which Toure only just cut out.

Ash you are comical at times.

As mentioned Messi did what Ronaldo normally does, only last night Ronaldo didnt because United were on the back foot defending their lead. When he did get the ball, as pointed out by the commentators (sorry you wouldnt have heard that cause you didnt watch it) that Ronaldo was more selfless last night than usual, playing the earlier ball, finding space and being more of a team player than a one man show that we've seen alot of recently.

an opinion isnt an insulting and totally unfounded attack on someone.

you knew what you were saying and how you meant it across too because you abused the swear filter for a non swear word

think you need to get a life. its banter on here and you dont see other fans calling opposition players things such as that you <enter infractionable naughty word>
