No one got it today through the post then? Sometimes Game get them out a day early.

 

Didnt Argos and a few other retailers get a bollocking for sending out Halo 3 early, or COD4, or something.

 

my order from amazon is expected 9th - 15thmay

 

Rang round all the local Asda's and Tesco's that are open 24 hours round here to find out that some were recommending getting there at 8 p.m. for midnight

Most places reported 10's some said a 100 or more people queuing by 10 to 12 and they all sold out in about 30 minutes round here. Expect the same in all places tomorrow then as people go on the hunt for a copy.

You might be lucky if you find a store that wasn't open tonight and you get there first thing they open. But don't be surprised if there isn't a queue waiting for it to open.............

Be intereseting to see how much of this is delayed stock to create a hype. A huge tesco's near me had 60 copies in, wonder how many they normally get in for a top release ..........?

I went to 2 Tesco Extra stores shortly before Midnight, they had been allocated 50 x 360 and 50 x PS3 both had sold out....

Just reserved a copy from my local Argos ( should have done that in the first place rather than running round at daft o'clock this morning )

 

LOL went to the local 24hr Asda at 05.30, no one shopping just shelf stackers and lo and behold the entertainment dept is not manned until 09.00.... You're not entirely 24 hours then are you

 

My wife has my pre-order form, I should have it by the time I get back from work

pahh, walked around the corner to the local grainger games 2 mins ago,

traded in army of two and the simpsons game and picked up my non pre ordered copy of gta4 for 8 pounds

they had 2 shelves full, and countless of them big bundle things

 

I just had a peak out the window here at work and there are people queuing outside Currys (Lion Retail Park, Woking, Surrey).

 

I went into Asda at 8am this morning and got a copy for £37 without any problems.

There were a few people there that were buying 3-4 copies but there wasn't more than 10 people in the queue.

Not sure what all the "pre order or you will never get a copy" fuss was all about.

 

Got a txt from Game last night to say my copy is sitting waiting in store for collection, so here's hoping there's a lot of people looking for a copy, can't get one and see me picking mine up just to pi55 them off

 

So begins a very long day at work!!

 

Got a copy on reserve at Argos and my local Gamestation has plenty in stock too apparantly.

 

what is the RRP on this game, i think i know why my local games shop has loads of copy's for sale

they are 45quid

never realised the supermarkets are doing them for 37

edit, seams the RRP is 50, so not as bad as i thought

45is worth it if its good anyway IMO

read that its about 30 hours long

 

One of the achievements is to do the story mode in under 30 hours - read somewhere that someone's already done that in just over 19 (ignored all side missions etc) IIRC Game do price matching so I'll be bringing them up on that if Asda are £3 cheaper...

 

wonder if you can do the game under 30, and then go back for the side missions?
