Two thing here.
1) Can't remember smoke stopping at an invisable barrier stopping it floating into the non-smoking area.
2) If you don't like not being able to smoke in a pub, don't go to the pub.

It p1sses me off to when people complain they can't smoke in a pub puffing smoke into other peoples faces. It's a non-smoking pub. If you don't like it, do one

I reckon they should introduce a law where by if you see an arrogant smoker lighting up in a public place, you can batter them over the head with a baseball bat.

If your mates jumped off a cliff would you follow them too?

While they're outside being looking cool with a *** in their mouths stood in the pouring rain, why don't you make the most of it. Go chat up a good looking girl in the nightclub, so when your cool mates return, while they've all got yellow fingers you've got a fishy smelly one.

Cool

The only downside of the smoking ban is that now pubs smell of sweat and stale beer. But, at least I don't stink of that in the morning because they are not smells that permeate your clothing.

I don't know why smokers complain, no one is saying they can't smoke, they just can't force others to suffer their smoke. What's the problem?

id rather smell of sweat/b.o/beer/**** than cigarettes any day.

also agree with what pete said about the harmful side of it.

As an ex-smoker, I believe that the ban went too far and that there should have been more thorough consideration of the smoking minority eg indoor smoking areas, smoking allowed in private member's clubs etc.

I think the government forget smoking is an addiction that cant just be turned off.

Lets throw this one into the mix.....

Heroin addicts get methodone (sp. sorry) given to them and all the hand holding. Smokers get treated like 3rd or 4th class citizens.

Before the argument comes across of "but smokers are damaging to my health and cost the NHS a fortune" So do drug users. Dirty needles spreading aids, crime increases, muggings, stabbings etc. all damaging to health. Yet jo public seem to sympathise with these whilst looking at smokers like scumbags.

Ps i'm a non smoker.

I don't smoke but this ban is adding to making the country hideously sterile, boring, PC, whatever you want to call it.

Yes our health should be better but does anybody really want to live any longer than your first old age pair of p1ssed pants?

I agree on the ban even though i'm a smoker myself.
Can't be nice for non-smokers to have to put up with it really.
