SPG - who says subaru have shelved the 380s - is this official?
If so, people will have to wait for the S205, some of the jap boards are speculating some info release from STI after rally japan for 01/09 launch.
again only speculation. But a 6 pot equipped hatch has been testing at the ring.

I don't think I would to be honest. I suppose part of the attraction for some people when buying a Subaru over most cars is the fact that they are relatively cheap for the amount of performance you get compared to most other cars in its class (ie. the evo, m3, rs4 etc).
Part of owning a Subaru/Jap car is the many ways you can improve the power/handling from the standard car... It's false ecconomy really, we spend thousands upgrading wheels, tyres, exhausts, ecu's, turbo etc...but when someone asks "wow, quick subaru...how much was it?" you tell them your original purchase figure...lol

Dealers have had notification this week, apparently something to do with new homologation laws coming in to play next year. A certain ammount would have to be made and registered within a certain time limit, I believe that in the current climate the number was too high, sales of the car would be too much of an uncertainty, I believe it would have done well but I can understand with such mixed feeling its best to play it safe.

When I picked up my 08 STI, the dealer said they had received a deposit for the 380bhp special that had been announced.
Didn't ask the price. However, I got the impression that the number of deposits would dictate whether they would be built.

It sounds interesting with the prodrive built edition but how will it compare to the likes of the S205 and spec c edition? in terms of price and performance?

The spec C will be cheaper but will also have less power.
£40k is still to much though for the 380S
