So a few pics...fits the ignition but the key needs slimming down to fit the locks too

Lots of degreasing nd hot washing done now...one more dirty box load to go

nice clean ported and polish TB

Final bit of engine bling...

A massive thanks to Drew for the AVCS bits I was missing, now I have a sealed up engine which I can go collect on Sunday
Finally a bit of aside...my friend Ross has had his Glanza off the road nearly as long as I have but its all done and rules! External waste gate and screamer pipe means its sounds like a fighter plane too

More prep work...driveshaft gubbins all sorted now;

little old 18g; perfect for running in (and reducing the chance of me sticking it through a hedge..)

And finally a photo that I sometimes doubted I' ever get to post; my engine coming home via 182

Been a while...being hospitalised by my appendix trying to kill me and normal Xmas/NY shenanigans have resulted in not a lot of progress...got a few photos though
So engine on the stand in the front room...

Table of stuff to fit.

Final part of my gearbox; main input shaft bearing which wen up to GR Performance to be fitted to the box...

And a big sigh of relief this finally arrived; DCCD PPG with billet selectors

So first job was to put the IM back on after I'd fitted my Carl Davey top feed rails and conversion kit...oh perhaps I won't

The AVCS solenoid plug didn't have the clearance even with a 10mm IM spacer. Steven confirmed that I'd need a 20mm spacer, as he had run this set up on his wagon. Just waiting for some quotes for 20mm spacers back now...so no further ancillary bolt ons until they are sorted.
As the IM was off I decided to go for one of these...I've also got hold of some 17k old MY06 coilpacks from Matty at PolePosition. So essentially replacing my 12 year old 70k coilpack and having the chance to clean up the IM a bit more too;

I decided while I was waiting I'd send the injectors off to Zen to be cleaned and overhauled too...

Finally finished my boot install...now I know its not going to win any prizes but it works

Final PITA; alternator reassembly...when I put it back together with the nice new bearings I think I snagged one of the copper wires and now it won't turn so I have to take the blessed thing apart again

I was just thinking more of a little more clearance Ian,with 2 10mm spacers and gaskets you'd actually end up with around 24mm but I do see that the chance of a leak is higher.
