Must admit I'm toying with the idea of either going spoiler less and putting the m3 lip on again or putting the m3 lip across the top of my v3 / 4 spoiler. I fancy doing something a little bit different. It'll either look good or pants

Let me know how much you want for it. I'll be at TA on official cleaning duty for Duncan.

Yup and you'll have increased displacement and bigger injectors, turbo etc. It's going to drink it

If Mr Neame deems the M3 lip surplus to his requirements, let me know how much you want for it as may well take it off your hands.

I too am thinking of getting rid of the v6 (have been since I got it just one of those I'm yet to take the plunge with)..

Either lip or V4 me thinks..

bit of a red letter day for me today, first time in a good few months the car has been back on all four wheels, I even managed to get it back in the garage before the rain

Pic of the steering rack, linkage and PS pipes in place...I picked up some MY01 sti PS pipes form Mocom ending up using one from the new age and one from the classic; hose run is all good now.

These arrived in the post, Jon I think I may need one of your harness bars

Got an expert to splice the speed converter into the speed sensor, cheers Bri

Back in position with some additional heat proof sleeve.

Picked up some of the return to sump fitting from Zak today too; sump plug and banjo bolt and a non-return valve. The -10 fittings will provide a greater flow rate than the other breathers combined ensuring the return does not become a restriction.

more progress, battery tray finally fitted and battery in...just need to extend the loom.

These two holes (for the catch can), are going to be a right pita...I need to get the nuts on and there loads of trim\sound proofing and heater matrix in the way

Looking good fella,

Be careful with the sump return if you're returning it to the drain plug. I had it mine and on closer inspection, the banjo bolt ends up being lower than the rest of the car. This leaves to prone to being ripped off on speed bumps etc if you're not careful.

Glad I'm not the only one prone to shiney fittings

Re the return, David from APi was able to modify my sump to put the return in the side to prevent this problem. I had this done when one of his ProDrive baffled sumps (the proper baffled sump rather than the baffle plate) was fitted. Have you already got a baffle? Somthing worth doing at the same time?

Cracking thread btw...

It's an easy trap to fall into

I already have one of John Felsteads' baffled sumps, and I've just brought Duncan's old Cosworth baffle plate so as good as it gets without a dry sump. Will have to look at the baffle design to make sure moving the return is feasible...have you got any pics of yours?

Thanks Ross, isn't it about time you updated yours

Good stuff!!

I haven't any pics of mine with the new setup (will get some next time I get a chance).

I've decided to let that thread die, it wasn't really a DIY project anymore. There has been quite a lot of development lately and will put something up in the gallery when finished... Keeping it reltively quiet for now .

Judging from the banjo bolt, I thought it would be done like this...

Which is how mine was before it was realised that the banjo bolt is exposed and could easily be ripped off by a speed bump etc...

I haven't a picture of how it is now (yet) but the the return now goes into the side of the sump.

i'm using the -10 fitting on the bottom of the catch can, banjo bolt and non-return valve...not cheap but it's going to give me peace of mind when pressing on

There are some pics back a page or so of the catch can and some of the fittings, I'll post a pic once it's all assembled.

Cheers for the pic Ross, I think I'll do the same and get a boss welded into the top of the sump

I have a better idea of having a return, return to the head instead of sump

Banny

Better late than never lol (stolen from another thread )
